Regardless of who it is, I'm annoyed when they discuss things other than singing. Obviously this is Idol and performance, presence, and presentation count, and judges focus on that as well. In Tia's case particularly, they seem to comment less on singing and more on overall package because they don't want to send out negative vibes just yet. They want to keep her on the show. And she's a cute girl, so I guess all is well until injustice sweeps in.

i am not impressed with either tia or asit's singing... it's unfair that others are eliminated who are better singers than them just because they were not 'presentable' enough...

competition is tough, and they need to focus on the singing first, and then the dressing sense...

as far as i am concerned, i think injustice has already crept in by choosing tia among the final 12... but yeah, she will go far anyways because she is 'cute'...

I don't rlly care abt their dressing sense. May be Sunidhi finds Tia a package. It's her opinion.We can't rlly say anything to that. I don't judge ppl based on their dressing sense and since it's a singing competition I think judges shld also not focos that much on that.
But yeh i didn't like Tia Bhoomi's performance either. Even Sunidhi said how Tia's sur wasn't that great.

u may not like bhoomi's performace ... but as per the SUR ... she was really really strong ...the song was very tough ...

Salim should NOT state that any one contestant is his favourite.

He is definitely affecting the voting pattern with comments like that.

Even if Yashraj is his favourite, he may not be the favourite of millions of us out there.... even if Salim has a favourite in the bunch he should not state it in express terms.

Salim also has to give more constructive feedback.

All of the judges need to look beyond style. It's desh ki awaaz not desh ki model.

Of course, the singer does need to be presentable, but that's really the bare minumum requirement.

It's about Singing! so we need to sort our priorities out at an early stage.

hmmm ... bro . if salim is favouring smthing that means that guy is really really good ...and being a judge he has full right to tell people who is the better among all ...coz audience dont know details of singing ...they do ..

Right. They should not find faults with their looks etc. May be behind the camera they can guide them how to be presentable. By commenting on personality the contestants may loose their confidence and perform bad and feel insecure of the well dressed contestants. Besides the public too get influenced by this and may not vote thinking to vote by personality etc. instead of their singing talent.
