Whatever he did was deffo for her happiness.. A father has to assure his daughter's life even after his death.. And what would had happened, if after Shanky's death, Armaan leaves Riddhima again?

A husband is someone who takes his wife in every kind of journey, be it of happy ones, or sad ones.. And if a fiance thinks that he will only take her with him when everything is fine, and will leave her alone during tough days, that doesn't assure a father much..

Hence, he doesn't want Ridz to be with Armaan.. And also.. Armaan's love is beyond comparison.. But anything that is beyond limit, is harmful.. And a marriage has a balance combo of everything.. That's why, a father always goes for marriage :)

He didn't leave her alone.. he left her with a full family to support her... and taking that family into confidence.... I am not saying it was right.... although the motivation was purely unselfish... but I am sure Shashank did not have the reasoning you gave at that time... he also thought that was the best decision.. according to what he tells Armaan when he meets him after the return... that both of them didn't realise what was R's happiness... so I don't think that was really a consideration for Shanky...

I didnt watch today's episode so I can't really say anything about what he did today... but what he asked A to do when he had decided to leave Sanjeevani after knowing abt SR... was totally selfish . I didn't even understand the logic!! And lot of people said he was the only sensible person!! In real life everyone accepts that one of the best ways to go abt handling a break up is a change of place to somewhere were u do not have so many memories attached to places and also where you dont have to see the love of your life with another person in front of you all the time!! so why did he ask A to stay!! and then getting him involved in the divorce!! That was heights!! and then talking all that nonsense to Armaan about how he must have put the idea in Sid's head that was even more bad!! It is fine that he wants his daughter's happiness ... (although the way he went abt the marriage was totally bad.. i am not saying he shud have asked her to wait forever for A... but he shud have got her some counseling or treatment and waited for her to stabilize emotionally before getting her into a marriage.. instead he emotionally blackmailed R into accepting the marriage and then when she insists on 2 days, he doesn't even try to talk sense to her and at that point of time none of the earlier tools were used to make her see some sense.... and he didn't even want to meet or talk to Sid's parents and he was ok with the marriage happening without them ? I am sure he didn't mean it that way.. but the way all of it happened it really sounds like he was only bothered abt somehow getting the blackmark against his family removed as soon as possible.... else where would you see doctors rushing into a marriage as treatment for a person who proved to be mentally unstable!! and where would you see a very well educated and supposedly progressive father emotionally blackmail a disturbed daughter to agree for a marriage which she obviously doesn't want and then act like it was a love marriage and everything was hunky dory!!)
Anyway since she got married it is natural that he wants to preserve the marriage and doesnt want his daughter to go through a divorce... but why wouldn't he let the other person go? just so that whatever guilt which his daughter might have should not be there he asks Armaan to stay? Knowing how difficult it will be for him? His daughter and Armaan also will come to terms with life in tehir own ways .. for that they don't need to be in front of each other.. but with whatever logic he felt that his daughter will have a better life if she sees Armaan there going on with life.... he felt that he had the right to put Armaan through such misery .. for the crime of having loved R more than his life!! He didn't even hesitate once to use that weapon of R's happiness!! Armaan was going away without doing anything stupid to hinder the married couple!! I think these are certain things that I will never understand and be able to rationalize abt Shashank!! Of course all it goes back to CVs ..but .. I wish he would think abt A atleast when it wouldn't have hurt his daughter or her marriage that much!!

yeah keep saying that to yourself.

for the first time i saw a content ridz she knows what she wants now and that sid . Armaan will always be someone she was inlove with once upon a time and she will cherish it but shes moved on now its armaans turn to finally let her go and accept that he isnt apart of her life anymore. Ridz may not say that she loves sid but her actions speak more .
