How is Teepri related

Hi All! We recently started watching BV and cannot figure out how Teepri is related to the main characters.

Teepri is Basanth and Bhairon's childhood friend, who left the village yeras ago, was married but her husband left her. Massa had promised that she will make her Bhairon's wife and she is back there with the motive of getting him back and she is creating misunderstandings every where in the house.

i have another doubt.....Teepri applies sindoor on her forehead...this means that she is married.....so where is her husband? and if she is still married, that is not divorced or turned a widow (as is indicated by her sindoor and colourful clothers...which are not allowed in Rajasthan), how come she is planning to become the wife of Bhairon...???

plus, isnt there a possibility that that Nihaal Singh ( i hope i am writing the correct name), who is these days quite kind to Khajan Singh might turn out to be her husband later......so since he was in jail ... had a criminal background, so Teepri was separated from him..... i wish her husband comes back from wherever he is and claims and takes her back........
