An unbiased discussion - For music fans..

How about the idea of having a discussion as Music fans only without any bias
towards the contestents. I noticed that all other discussions on the individual
performances turns to a never ending clash among the supporters.

After watching II2 episodes so far, I somehow feel good to see that Karunya, Amey, Antara and Meenal
are safe so far. They have shown some good performances and potential to go a long way.

Karunya's "Kawa Kawa", "Layi bhi na gayi" etc takes him ahead of others while Amey with his
"Tum jo mil gaye ho" and other performance is almost there. He however has to do a little more
to grab the title. He is definately ahead of everyone else considering his X factor and all that.

Antara is one who might be present in the final two with her performances getting better and better everytime.
She not only has a great voice but also a huge support from public keeping her away from bottom three so far.

Meenal is also among the top four but she might have to loose due to the lack of public support. Sonu spoke my
mind out when he once said that Public is not able to recognize her dignity. She is the one with
substance and it is going to be pleasent if she makes it to the finals. She is talented too but others are as well so she
needs to work hard.

All this said, I would be extremely happy to see if Anuj gives a performance which can turn the table.
He has so far looked an ok performer but seems much more talented. The improvement he showed in 20th Feb
indicates that he could now come up really strong. Knowing that he was not in the bottom 3 in the two Galas
he performed, He might have enough public support to keep his challenge alive. I would however like to see him
fight by his performance rather than any undue support.

Sandeep really needs to improve now. If he stays there in future Galas like he is now, it would be negative for the
spirit of the contest. I really hope that he does better in future and if should be out if he does not.

There is surely a directive from the director's room to the judges to behave sensibly and maintain the spirit of the
contest. It was seen on the result round Feb 21st. They have also started giving much mature comments.
Ravi was out after a better performance but he deserved to be out by now so it was acceptable to all.

All the best to all the performers and may the better one wins.

This discussion can include a few points that anyone of you might have noticed which we should also know.
The factors that keeps a given contestent ahead of other and so on..........

One question - Is regionalism playing any role in II2 as it did in SRGMP ? Amay and Meenal as we recognize it, have performed really well so far but they had to stand in Bottom-3 so many times. When Public has 100% voting rights, there will be always "Regionalism and Sympathy Vores". Karunya, Amey and Meenal has always showed their Talent but they are always in Bottom 3 because Bengalis are very supportive to their regional contestants. I think more and more people should come out of every region and vote based on "Contestants' performance for a "PARTICULAR WEEK". What if Dydrabad doesn't vote for Karunya, cann't people from Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, New Delhi and Mumbai can vote him because he has all the qualities for an IDOL.

There should not be any discrimination from Indian Public. Indian Public should vote for the BEST.

Kachchori, It was not about discussing the regionalism here. I want to ask if you feel that it has played any role in the results so far. The discussion on evealuating the performances alone anyway continues here......

hey I was'nt rude to u i supose the forum rule bans reginalism based discussions.It may lead to some unneccesary ,unparellel conflict.

to avoid any permanent tarnish on any participants , I can still put my views as " More on emotinal side ,the voting migth have taken place.

That is very obvious. but last result one differ from this becuase it put 3 from mumbai to bottom 3.

The amount of votes have since doubled, shows now public is reallly taking it very seriously.

i believe the margin between each is very small.even 100 votes must have put one out.

😉 At this stage singing talent or performance or choice of song does not make any change to public, becuase that period is over.

Time to vote on favorites ,on emotional attachment.
