Even though there were no AR scenes or just Armaan scenes, I liked today's episode for a number of reasons:
1. Sid became a human from God today: The last few weeks we have seen Sid trying to act superhuman by first marrying a woman whom he didn't love just to save her honor, letting his wife decide whom she wants to select as a life partner, by being a silent observer to his wife's numaish in the hospital cafeteria, by letting his wife take marriage vows with Armaan, by showing his desire to sacrifice his love for Ridz's happiness, by sending the divorce papers so Ridz can be free of any bondages, by wishing Armaan a happy life with Ridz....the list goes on and on.
Now, was that all a farce? After watching today's episode, I can only conclude YES! Sid is human like anyone of us, but why this facade Sid? Why try to act mahaan when you are not?
When we all thought he married Ridz to save his honor, we were all touched, but in reality, he confessed that he married because he loved Ridz and wanted to be happy after marriage!
Ridz was right that even when he let her act as Armaan's wife for the benefit of 'other's in reality he was just testing her!
Now, he is the one who took the initiative to send the DP, then why is screaming at the top of his lungs that 'why did you do that Ridz?" Isn't he the one who told Armaan in the washroom, that Ridz will definitely sign the DP because he knows her well?
Isn't he the one who interpreted Ridz's silence to her confession that she still loves Armaan, then why have the audacity to refer to Ridz as her ex-boyfriend??
I don't know about Ridz, but for me the damage has been done Sid! I could never trust a character like you ever again in life. You are not what you seem.
I'd rather prefer a person like Armaan (even if unbiased) because Armaan never pretends to be who he is not. He still openly confesses his love for Ridz, but doesn't expect her to leave everything for him even if she loves him. If that were the case, he would have jumped with joy when Sid told him about the divorce, but instead he just quietly questioned the ways of destiny.
If Sid really wanted to stay married to Ridz, he should have confronted her way before the divorce papers, he should have told Ridz that "I love you and want to stay with you forever' Ridz as we know, had resigned to her fate, and would have willingly stayed in the marriage and tried her best to forget Armaan.
Now, even if because of extraneous factors, SR decide to stay married, the damage has been done. They were never bonded by deep everlasting type of love like spouses have, and now with shades of jealousy and mistrust creeping in their relationship, they would have the most dysfunctional marriage in the world...
2. Ridz finally showed signs of maturity:
After a long time, Ridz gave me a chance to admire her once again. She did not shed buckets of tears, she did not yell and scream, she did not blame anyone else. Instead, she acknowledged that she had taken decisions in her life just to please others and in that process had ended up hurting herself and the other person equally.
She was calm, determined and decisive. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope that we will continue to see this determined Riddhima in future episodes. Looks like the CVs are really reading our posts lolz
I liked the way she respectfully asked her dad to back off and let her make her own decisions---for me that was the highlight of the episode.
Now, why did the Cvs repeat the terrace screaming scene with Sid...why do they force us to think of Sid as a 'me too' character every time? Why can't they give Sid his own identity and his own way of grieving?? Now is he going to imprint Ridz's names on walls or his arms or something??? Hope not because that would be against his character- he has never been a pagal deewana in love like armaan.
My wish for future..
1. When Sid says' ex boy friend' I really want Ridz to say : Don't insult my relationship with armaan by calling him an ex boyfriend! We all know what Armaan meant for Ridz...it's way above a tag of an ex boyfriend. That tag belittles their relationship. Please CVs, don't do that to AR.
2. Ridz DOESN'T GO BACK on her decision and signs all the papers- for her sake and also for Sid's sake because if they stay married, I am afraid Sid will not be able to tolerate being the second man in his wife's life.
3. Armaan doesn't start chasing Ridz once again. He needs to give her time after the divorce (if that happens-hope it does) and let her make the first move this time.
