This is the story of Jai 32 and Bani 26, about how their destiny brings these two strangers together for a lifetime love and happiness. Bani is lives in India and Jai lives in the UK with his family.

Chapter 1

The story starts in India, Singhania Mansion, Singhania Palace as everyone calls it as it is a palace in every aspect, the size, splendour and the beauty is breathtaking. The Singhania's are the richest and most successful and powerful people in India as they belong to the Royal family. But despite having all the money and power in the world they are very down to earth and nice people who are ready to help anyone at any time of the day. The eldest daughter of the family, Bani Singhania is so helpful and sweet that she is known as angel. Nobody calls her by her name, in fact many people don't know her real name as she has been called angel since she was born. She is loved by everyone and her family members are very possessive about her. She is always surrounded by her brothers and sisters. Bani has always been a very bright student and she studied MBA on Scholarship from Oxford University. She worked as her dad's assistant when she came back to India and at 26 years old she is already the CEO of Singhania Group of companies, SGC as it is known worldwide.

It is five in the morning and everyone is asleep except for Bani who is up and already dressed in a white salwar kameez and looking very pretty. She is drying her wet waist long hair in front of her mirror and finishes getting ready when she is done. She then goes downstairs and joins her mum and aunts to perform the prayers and after the prayers they all go to the kitchen and start preparing breakfast. Bani prefers doing all her work by herself despite having countless servants at her disposal and she treats all of them like family members. It's a daily routine for her to prepare everyone's favourite dishes and anyone who tastes the food made by Bani admits she is the best cook ever. Once breakfast is ready the servants set the table while Bani rushes to wake her brothers and sisters up and she goes to get ready for work. It is now eight O'clock and everyone is at the breakfast table and Bani's dad, Dhanraj Singhania notices that her chair is empty.

Dhanraj: Angel ayi nahi abhi tak?

Sakshi (Bani's Mum): Ji woh tayar ho rahi hai. Bas ati hi hogi.

Just then you see Bani walking down the stairs dressed in another white salwaar kameez, most of her clothes are in white as it's her favourite colour. She wishes everyone a very good morning with a big smile on her face and goes to hug her dad and he starts fussing over her while everyone at the breakfast table were trying really hard to hide their smiles as he said this every day.

Dhanraj: Good Morning angel. Tum bohot thaki hui lag rahi ho bacha. Kitna kaam karti ho? Kabhi to aram kar lia karo. I think it's high time you took a break. Lekin tum kissi ki sunti kahan ho?

Sakshi: Are aap phir shuru ho gae? Har roz ek hi baat dohrate hui aap thak nahi jate? Pehle angel ko aram se nashta to karne dijier warna aap ki baton mein hi waqt nikal jaye ga aur meri bachi bhooki hi office chali jaye gi.

Bani: Mama, Papa aap dono ab please shuru mat ho jaye. Pehle nashta kar lete hain phir aap jo kehenge main bina kuch kahe sunungi.

Raj, Bani's eldest brother says: han mom bohot bhook lagi hain nashta serve karo na.

Hearing this Sakshi and the other ladies of the house started serving everyone breakfast and they all started praising Bani's cooking again. While eating Bani remembered something and told her dad

Bani: Papa kaam bohot bar jane ki vaja se we won't be able to drop the girls to college anymore. Main ne hamare security agency ko 30 aur bodyguards bhejne ke lier kaha hai. Aap un sab ka interview le lijier ga aur un main se jo 10 best hain unhe select kar lena. I want to appoint 2 bodyguards for each of my sisters. Aur jab tak bodyguards select nahi ho jate hum inhe drop karke office chale jaenge. Theek hain na papa?

Hearing this everyone at the table felt they were so lucky to be related to Bani in any way or the other. She was truly an angel and she always took great care of all of them. Dhanraj felt really proud of her and he thought he was blessed to have a daughter like her.

Dhanraj: haan angel yeh tumne bilkul theek kia.

Hearing this Rashi, Rano, Ria, Sia and Jia (Bani's cousins whom she loved and pampered as her own sisters) all smiled and said:

"Waise hamari di kabhi koi galat kaam kar hi nahi sakti"

Rano: but this is not fair diL humein app ke saat time spend karne ka mouka hi nahi milega ab.

Rashi: Haan di aap aur hamare 3 big brothers to hamesha kaam mein busy rehte hain.

Ria: Ab humein shopping ke lie kaun lejaega?

Bani: Acha you are only worried about your shopping?

"Haan" Ria replied and Bani started chasing her around the house and everyone started cheering Bani on. This was a sight you got to see every day in the Singhania Palace, Ria teasing Bani and Bani chasing after her or vice versa. Bani finally managed to catch Ria and started tickling her

Ria: Di sorry di... Please di aur mat hasao aur nahi hasa jaye ga...

Bani stopped immediately and hugged her baby sister and kissed her forehead

Bani: Tu fikar mat kar bacha mein tujhe apna credit card dedoungi aur tum sab ko drop aur pick karlungi. Ab khush?

Hearing this Ria kissed Bani soundly on her cheek and said "I love you di"

Bani: Haan haan pata hai ab zyada maska lagane ki zaroorat nahi hai

Raj: Tum log jaldi se tayar ho kar ajao. Hum angel ke saath gari mein wait karte hain. And please jaldi karo ajj humari important presentation hai.

Ria: Ji bhai. Hum bas abhi ate hain.

Rahul, Bani's second brother: Angel tum ready ho na?

Bani: Ji bhai. I'll just go get my things.

And all the girls rush to finish getting ready and get their stuff.

Sameer, Bani's twin: Yeh larkiyan tayyar hone main kitna waqt lagati hain? We are so gonna be late today big bro. Aisa na ho ke hamare delegates hum se pehle his pohonch jaye.

Bani arrived there when Sameer was complaining about the girls but he did not see her as his back was facing her and she heard everything. Us ne Sameer ke kaan pakar kar kaha "acha? Hamare peet peeche hamari burai ki ja rahi thi?

Sameer: Are angel main tumhari baat tori na kar raha tha. I was just talking in general yaar. Meri itni himmat ke main tumhari burai karu? You know me better than that sweetheart.

Raj: Jane do na angel der ho rahi hai. Yeh lo the girls have also come. Have you got the file for the presentation with you?

Bani: Ji bhai it's in my bag. Let's go girls I'm driving.

Saying so Bani gets in her BMW X5 and her brothers get in Raj's 4*4 which was followed by three 4*4 with the bodyguards. Since they belong to the Royal family none of them are allowed to go anywhere without bodyguards. The girls have lots of fun and talked about everything.

Ria: Di please don't forget your promise. You have to take us shopping today.

Bani: Haan bacha, I'll pick you all after college and we'll go shopping. Ab khush?

Rashi: Di aap is ki har baat kyun maan leti hain?

Rano: Haan di yeh bohot ziddi hoti ja rahi hain. Ab to yeh kissi ki baat nahi sunti.

Ria: That's not true Ran's main di ki har baat manti hun.

Bani: Mujhe pata he bacha. Tum dono meri bachi ko pareshaan mat karo. Aaj shaam hum sab shopping chalenge.

Rashi: Ok di waise humein Sunday ki function ke lie kapre lene hain.

Bani: Haan Rashi, hum baki sab ke lier bhi shopping kar lenge function ke lier akhir Raj bhai ki engagement jo hain. Aur han sab naukaron ke lier bhi naye kapre le lenge. I want them to attend the function as guests. I'll make arrangements for waiters and caterers from one of our hotels. Sia, Jia? Tum dono chup kyun ho bacha? Sab theek to hain na?

Sia,Jia: Haan di everything is fine. Aaj exam hain na bus we are worried about that.

Bani: Pareshaan nahi hote bacha. Your brain will stop working if you stress yourself. Both of you have studied very hard aur sab theek se revise bhi kar lia. Agar pareshaan hoge to sab bhool jaoge. I know both of you will do very well as always. I trust both of you bacha. Chalo ab smile karo and stop worryingJ

Sia and Jia smiled and said "hum aap ke bharose ko kabhi tootne nahi denge di"

Bani dropped the girls off and went to SGC (Singhania Group of Companies) head office where she and her brothers are based. Bani and Raj stopped their cars in front of a huge building and gave the keys to the valet. They then entered the building and took the lift to the 20^th floor where the executive offices were. All the offices in the whole building belonged to SGC, each department was on a separate floor and the executive offices were on the top floor.

Bani went to her office and settled down. Her laptop was loading when Raj, Rahul and Sameer walked in and took their seat. Bani's pa(Anjali) knocked and walked in with their coffee a little while later.

Anjali: Good Morning Sir and Madam. Aap ki coffee.

Bani: Anju how many times have we told you not to call us so formally? We are friends yaar. Tum yeh sir aur madam keh kar humein parayah kyun kardeti ho?

Anju: Ok baba am so sorry. Yeh lo main kaan pakarti hoon. Aaj ke baad phir se yeh galti nahi dohraougi. Ab to maaf kardo.

Bani: Maafi nahi, tumhein punishment milegi. Aur tumhari punishment yeh hain ke tum aaj shaam ko hamare saath shopping chalogi. Raj bhai ki engagement function ke lier humein sab ke lier shopping karna hain.

Raj: Angel tumhari shopping to...

Bani: Haan bhai pata hain mujhe. Humesha ki tarha app teeno ne mere lier shopping kar di hain. Main baki sab ki baat kar rahi thi. Tum chalogi na Anju?

Anju: Han angel zaroor chaloogi aur hum in teeno ko bhi saath le chalenge. We'll get help to carry the bags.

Saying so she winked at Bani and they shared a laugh at the look on the boys' face.

Sameer trying to act smart said "Lekin Raj bhai apni engagement ki shopping khud kaise kar sake hain? Aur Rahul bhai ko to aaj shaam meeting mein jana hai." Both Raj and Rahul were relieved after hearing this and Sameer was expecting them to back him up but he forgot that they would never go against their angel. Bani smiled and said "Raj bhai aur Rahul bhai to busy hain Anju but Sameer will definitely come with us as he does not have any prior commitments." Sameer's face paled hearing this and he said "lekin mujhe bhi Rahul bhai ke saath meeting mein jana hai."

Rahul: Nahi Sameer main akele hi meeting sambhal loonga, tum angel ke saath shopping jao and don't you dare let her carry any bags.

Just then Anju's phone rang, it was the receptionist informing her that the delegates had arrived. Hearing this Bani asked the guy's to go ahead and receive them as she had to go through the delegates' files one last time and she will join them in the conference room. As soon as the door closed behind the guys Bani and Anju burst out laughing remembering Sameer's plight.

On the way to the reception Sameer was very upset with Raj and Rahul.

Sameer: This is so not fair bhai. Main ne aap dono ko bachaya aur aap ne mujhe hi phasa dia. Mera saath nahi de sakte the app log?

Raj: Tujhe kya laga Sameer? Hum angel ke khilaaf ja kar tera saath denge? Agar humein kabhi dad aur angel ke beech kisi ko chuna pare tab bhi hum angel ka hi saath denge. Yeh baat humesha yaad rakhna.

Rahul: Aur tu bhi to angel ka hi saath dega na? Par tera chehra dekhne laik tha when I said I could handle the meeting on my own.

Both Raj and Rahul broke into fits of laughter and they had to force themselves to calm down before they reached reception and welcomed the delegates.

Chapter 2

Bani was concentrating on the file she was reading when Anju knocked and came in.

Bani: Haan bolo Anju.

Anju: Yeh kya angel? Tum kaam kar rahi ho?

Hearing this question Bani looked up and said "Anju teri tabyat to theek hai na? Main office main kaam nahi karungi to kya basketball kheloungi?" Saying this she shook her head and went back to reading her file. Anju smiled at her and said "Angel time kya hua hai?" And bani replied without moving her eyes from the file "kyon? Tumhari ghari kho gayi hai kya jo tum mujhse time pooch rahi ho?"

Anju: No angel, meri ghari to mere paas hi hai aur is waqt meri ghari mein 4p.m baje hain.

Bani's head snapped up and she stared wide eyed at Anju. "Kya???!!! It's already 4? We have to pick the girls up at 4.30pm! Acha hua tum ne mujhe yaad dila diya Anju." Saying so she packed her things and left the office with Anju and they met Sameer on the way and all three went to get the girls.

They picked the girls up and went to the shopping plaza. Bani made sure to buy nice clothes and accessories for everyone else first then they went to a designer boutique where only the rich and famous people shopped to buy the girls' clothes. Bani never fussed about her clothes and accessories as she did not mind wearing something simple from a small shop but her sisters were very fussy about their clothes and stuff. They were not arrogant or rude but they always insisted on wearing designer clothes, it was the only thing they never compromised with and Bani loved them so much that she bought them anything they wanted. Seeing Bani entering the shop Reema Bajaj the owner of the boutique and famous designer went to welcome all of them in.

Reema: Hello angel, how are you? It's such a pleasure seeing you here. How may I help you today?

Bani: Hi Reema, I'm fine thank you. Raj bhai is getting engaged on Sunday, bas ussi ki shopping karne aye hain.

Reema: please come, main aap sab ko apni latest collection dikhati houn. You'll be the first ones to see it.

The girls selected everything they wanted and Bani bought an outfit complete with matching jewellery for Anju as well. They had a blast while Sameer was struggling with all the shopping bags and cursing himself for trying to be smart with these girls.

They were exhausted by the time they got home. The whole family was in the living room along with their dad's distant cousin (their bua) and her son Tarun who worked for SGC as well. He believes in recommendations rather than merit and that's how he got this job, just because his mom recommended him to Bani's dad. Bani could not say anything as her dad told her to employ Tarun, if her bua would have asked her she would have refused her. Tarun was everything that Bani hated in a man and she always treated him professionally. She never spoke to him outside of work. All the Singhania siblings disliked Tarun but they tolerated him because they did not want to disrespect their family values.

Bani stopped in her tracks as soon as she saw Tarun and his mum and so did her sisters, Sameer and Anju. As soon as Sakshi saw the kids she stood up and went up to them.

Sakshi: Acha hua tum logon ne aur der nahi ki beta, hum khane ke lie wait kar rahe the.

Bua: Are Bani beta agae tum log? Hum kab se tumhara wait kar rahe the.

Ria mumbled "yeh hum nahi hain, aapko hamara bhoot dikh raha he" and the others had a hard time to stop themselves from laughing.

Bua: Kuch kaha beta? (She didn't hear anything as she was still sitting on the sofa which was far from the door)

Sakshi who heard Ria said: "nahi didi kissi ne kuch nahi kaha" and giving a stern look at Ria said "tum log fresh ho kar khane ke lie ajao"

Bani: Ji mama hum abhi ateh hain

They all greeted their bua and tarun and went to their respective rooms to freshen up then joined the whole family on the dining table Bani noticed that Raj bhai and Rahul bhai made sure tarun sat between them so that he does not get to sit near her and spoil her diner. After diner they all went and sat down in the living room and bani called all the servants and started giving them their clothes for the function. Everyone was very happy with this gesture of bani's except for bua and tarun.

Bua: Tum ne Anjali ke lie kuch nahi kharida beta? Akhir woh bhi to tumhari naukar hi hai.

Everyone was angry when they heard what bua said and Rahul's blood was boiling. He so wanted to strangle bua there and then seeing tears in anju's eyes. All he knew was that he loved anju and he hated anyone who tried to hurt her. Bani went and hugged anju from the side and said "hum ne sirf hamare family members ke lie shopping ki hain bua ji strangers aur servants ke lie nahi. Aur anju humare pariwaar ka ek ehem hissa to zahir si baat hain ke hum us ke lie bhi shopping karenge. Ek aur baat kehna chahoungi bua ji, humare ghar mein koi bhi naukar ya malik nahi hai, yeh sab hamare naukar nahi hain, they are our family members. Aap dobara aisi baat kehna to door sochna bhi mat."

Everyone present in the room was stunned as they had never seen bani this angry before. Since bua was always jealous that bani became the CEO of SGC while her son was a normal employee she could not control herself aur dil ki baat zubaan pe agai.

Bua: Suna tumne dhanraj tumhari yeh bani mujhse kaisi baat kar rahi hai? Dekh lia beti ko CEO banane ka natija? Agar tumhare bete CEO ki post sambhalne ke kabil nahi the mera beta to tha. Apni beti ko itni bari position dedi aur mere bete ko ek mamuli employee ki jagah di tumne. Ab tumhari yehi beti tumhare sar par naach rahi hai.

Raj: That's enough bua ji. Aap ka beta agar iss laek hota to in do salon mein wo apni mehnat aur lagan se hamari tarha company ka managing director ban gaya hota.

Tarun: Oh stop it Raj. All of you occupy such high posts and get these huge pay checks only because you are dhanraj singhania's children. You were all born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Everything was given to you guys, you did not earn any of it. Yeah rutba, paisa, position yeh sab sirf iss lie kyunki tum log iss ghar ke bete ke bache ho iss lie nahi because you deserve any of this.

Rahul: Tum bohot zyada bol rahe ho tarun. Yeh mat bhoolo ke tum kis ke ghar mein khare ho aur kis se baat kar rahe ho.

Tarun: Yehi to main keh raha houn Rahul. Kya tumhari angel yeh sabit kar sakti hai that she can get a job in another country and in a company where nobody knows her? I challenge you to find a job in a different country and where nobody knows you bani aur tumhe wahan 3 mahine ke lie kaam karna hai as a mamuli employee. And when you come back as a failure tumhare jaan se pyare papa ko sab ke saamne mujhse maafi maangi hogi and accept that he made a mistake by making you the CEO of SGC.

Everyone was shocked hearing this challenge which was thrown at bani and they also knew that she would never back down from one. Bani could do anything for her family's honour, yeh to kuch bhi nahi tha. She looked at tarun confidently in the eyes and replied calmly

Bani: Main ek anjaan desh aur ek aisi company main ek normal employee ki tarah kaam karoongi for 3 months jahan I'll be given a job based on my merits and not on any recommendation. I'll be back after 3 months with a reference letter from my employer aur tum sab ke saamne woh letter parhoge aur papa ke per pakar ke unse maafi bhi mango ge aur us ke baad tum apni ma ko le kar yahan se dafa ho jao ge aur zindagi bhar humein apna manhoos chera nahi dikao ge.

Dhanraj: Sun lia tum dono ne angel ka jawab? Now get out of here aur humein apna chera 3 mahine ke baad hi dikana. Aur haan tarun tum doosri job dhoondna shuru kar do kyuki meri angel jeet kar hi aegi.

With that said dhanraj ordered the bodyguards to throw saap and sapola out and everyone rushed to bani's side and gave her a bear hug. They knew that she would be gone for 3 whole months the next morning aur woh kameab ho kar hi wapas lautegi afterall she also has the same Royal blood flowing in her veins as them. Yeh baat alag hai ke us ka khoon kuch zyada hi garam hota hai.

Anju with hot tears flowing from her eyes: I'm really sorry angel. Yeh sab meri waja se hua hai. Na tum mujhe defend karti aur na hi yeh sab hota

Sakshi wiped anju's tears and said: Nahi beta aisa nahi kehte. Angel ne bilkul theek kiya. Aur tum to hamari family ka hissa ho, angel ki best friend aur iss ghar ki hone wali bahu

Both Rahul and Anju were shocked to hear this and everyone burst out laughing looking at both their faces.

Sameer: Main ne kaha tha na bhai, main chorunga nahi aapko. Aap ne mujhe in larkiyon ke saath shopping bags uthane ke lie bhej dia tha na?

Rahul: Sameer ke bache bara smart banta hai ab main tum ko nahi chorunga

Saying so rahul started chasing sameer around the house and everyone was laughing at both of them. They were running around the living room and sameer kept throwing stuff at rahul to slow him down and he tripped and fell down while doing so and rahul fell on top of him. Bani went up to both of them and helped them up.

Sameer: Oww bhai kitne mote hogae ho. Aap dieting kyun nahi karte?

Bani: Sameer ab bas bhi karo. Kyun sata rahe ho bhai ko? Ab chalo sab sone chalo humein kal jaldi uthna hai. Anju tum please book the first available flight to London for me.

Raj: Tum London jaogi angel? Wahan akeli kaise rahogi? Aisa karte hain main bhi tumhare saath chalta hoon. Hum saath rahenge aur tum jahan chaho job kar lena.

Bani: No bhai. Agar app mein se koi bhi mere saath raha to yeh saabit ho jaega ke main apne aap kuch nahi kar sakti. Agar aap chaho to aap mujhe London tak drop karne a sakte ho lekin main apke saath nahi rahoungi, I'll live like a working class person.

Raj: Theek hai angel ab tumhari jeet aur meri engagement ki party ek saath 3 mahine baad hi hogi. Main Simran se baat karlunga, you don't worry and now go get some sleep bacha. Good night

Bani hugged Raj: Good night bhai and please don't worry main jeet kar hi wapas aungi. Chal anju aaj tu mere kamre main soegi.

Bani and anju woke up very early the next day and were surprised to see the whole house awake. They performed their prayers and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Bani and anju prepared everyone's favourite dishes and Sakshi and the other ladies of the house prepared bani's favourite dishes. They set the table after everything was ready and called everyone for breakfast.

Dhanraj: Tumne packing karli angel? Aur flight kitne baje ki hai?

Bani: Ji papa humne kal raat ko hi packing karli thi aur flight 1pm ko hain. I have to start getting ready right after breakfast. Aur humein airport chorne koi bhi nahi aega.

Dhanraj: Lekin beta tum teen mahino ke lie ja rahi ho aur hum tumhein airport chorne bhi na aein?

Bani: Please papa I want to prove that I'm strong enough to do this on my own. Aur bhai to mujhe chorne ja hi rahe hain na? Main wahan pohonchte hi aap ko phone karungi. I promise papa.

Dhanraj: Ok bacha jaisa tum chaho. Tum janti ho na hum apni angel ko harte hue nahi dekh sakte and I'm sure tum jeet kar hi wapas aogi.

Bani and Raj went to get ready after breakfast and left for the airport after a long hugging session. They then boarded the flight to London where bani's destiny was waiting for her.

Chapter 3

(All the members of the Walia family are exactly as the show but they are all positive characters and Jai is 36years. Oh and he does not share any kind of relationship with Roshni. She is just an employee in Walia Group of Industries (WGI))

The flight lands at Heathrow airport early in the morning, Raj and Bani collect their luggage and proceed to arrivals where their driver was waiting to take them to their hotel. (The Singhania's have luxury hotels all over the world) The driver spots them and goes to welcome them.

Driver: Good Morning sir/madam. Welcome to UK, it's such an honour having you here.

Bani with a smile on her face: Morning Sean hope you and your family is doing well.

This is how bani is. She treats all her employees as human beings who have feelings and she knows all of them by name and also knows everything about them. All her employees love her and never hesitate to share their happiness or sadness with her as they know she is always there for them. And she is closer to Sean as he was her driver and bodyguard when she was doing her MBA in Oxford.

Sean smiled and said: We are all doing very well madam. I got married last year and my wife is expecting. She is due next month.

Bani: Congratulations! Am so happy for you. I can't wait to meet your wife and see the baby.

Raj: This is great new Sean, congrats man! I'm going back in a week or so but I'll definitely come back when the baby is born. Can you please drop us to the hotel now? I don't know about angel but I'm dead tired.

Sean: Of course sir the cars are waiting outside.

They all proceed towards the cars and Sean put Raj's and Bani's luggage in the first car and opened the door for them to get in. He then instructed the bodyguards accompanying Raj and Bani to get into the second car.

They were dead tired by the time they arrived in their hotel in London and went to their respective suites after taking their keys from the front desk. Bani called her dad as soon as she reached her room to inform him that they arrived safely and went to bed after speaking to him for about an hour.

Bani woke up quite late the next day gave Raj a call to wake him up before going downstairs for lunch as it was already lunch time. Her blackberry started ringing as soon as she gave both hers and Raj's orders, a sweet smile appeared on her face when she saw the caller ID. She picked up the call and said

Bani: hi bacha, kaisi ho? Aur baki sab kaise hain?

Jai Walia who was having a lunch meeting in the same hotel looked up as soon as he heard this sweet and innocent voice. That's when he saw an angel dressed in white sitting on the table opposite his. He kept staring at her while she carried on speaking on her phone in a very happy mood. It was the first time a girl had caught his attention. Women were always falling at his feet and doing anything and everything to try to catch his attention but he was never interested as he knew they all wanted the Walia name and his money, none of them wanted to know Jai they just wanted to be with Jai Walia. Jai had never felt the way he was feeling now looking at this angel in front of him. What he liked most about her was the fact that she was dressed in traditional Indian clothes and speaking in hindi despite the fact that she was sitting in the biggest hotel in London.

Raj came just when bani got off the phone. He kissed bani on her forehead and said "Good morning angel, kis se baat kar rahi thi?" before taking his seat.

Bani smiled brightly at Raj: Morning Raj bhai. Ria ka phone tha, kal raat jab main ne papa ko phone kia tha to woh so gayi thi aur uss se baat nahi ho payi thi. Issi lie uss ne subha se pura ghar sar par utha rakha tha.

Raj: Yeh ria bhi na, itni bari hogai hai lekin uss ka bachpana nahi gaya. Tum ne use sar par jo charha rakha hai.

Bani: Aap sab logon ko bas mauka chahie meri bachi ki burai shuru karne ki. Chorie na yeh sab aur nashta kijier. Main Sean ko phone kar ke ati houn.

Bani walked out of the restaurant with her phone and Jai tried to concentrate on his meeting. He could not take his mind off of angel as much as he tried and he did not even notice when the meeting was over and his clients were gone. Aditya jai's brother in law and best friend who noticed the sudden change in jai nudged him and said "kay baat hai jai? Tumhari tabyat to theek hai na? Tum kahan khoye huye ho?

Jai: Nahi Adi I'm fine. Let's go back to the office, I want to work on the proposal file for SGC.

Adi: Jai tum do saal se uk ke saath kaam karna chahte ho lekin har baar woh tumhari proposals reject kar dete hain. Agar tum India main kissi dousri company ko yeh proposal dete to hum kab ka India main settle ho gae hote.

Jai: No Adi I don't care how long it takes lekin main sirf aur sirf SGC ke saath hi partnership karunga. They are the best Adi and I want only the best for my company. Rahi baat India main settle hone ki to jahan tum sab ne itne saal intezaar kya bas kuch mahine aur mera saath dedo. I'm sure iss baar SGC mere proposal ko reject nahi karenge as I'm personally working on it. Let's go back to office now.

Saying so Jai made his way out of the restaurant hoping to get another glance of angel but luck was not on his side and he went back to his office dejected. He started working on his proposal for SGC as soon as he got back.

Jai's dad went to live in the UK with the whole family when both Jai and his older sister Jigyasa were very young and it has always been their dream to migrate back to India some day. Two years ago when jai finally decided to return to India with the whole family he prepared a business proposal for SGC. Since he wanted to shift his whole business in India and he wanted to do a partnership with the best in the field and they were Singhania Group of Companies. Unfortunately Jai's proposal was rejected. He sent 3 proposals in two years and all of them were rejected. Now he decided to head the new proposal himself and he does regular meetings with his staff and give them a very hard time because he does not want his proposal to be rejected one more time.

Raj and bani met sean once they finished with their lunch and sean said that he had arranged for an apartment for bani to live and he also has the perfect job for her. Sean said that his wife works for WGI as the CEO's pa and she has been given the task to find someone to replace her when she goes on maternity and the person will have to start immediately. Both raj and bani are delighted to hear this but bani tells sean that she does not want him to recommend her for the job. She will apply and go for the interview as any normal candidate. If she ever finds out she was recommended for this post she will resign immediately. Sean assures her that he will not tell his wife anything and he is sure she will get this job on her own merit. Bani calls sean's wife and she gets an interview for the next day. She also visits the apartment which sean found for her and liked it very much. It was a one bedroom apartment, small but very cosy. She finalised the rent amount with the landlord and got the key after giving a deposit and a month's advance rent. She moved into her new apartment the same day, the place which will be her home for the next three months.

Bani woke up early the next day, performed her prayers had breakfast and got ready for her interview. She dressed carefully as she believed that the first impression should be the best impression. She checked herself one last time in the mirror before collecting her file and leaving home. Sean was waiting for her downstairs in the car. Even though she was living like a working class individual she was not allowed to go anywhere without her bodyguard for security issues. The car pulled up in front of a huge building after 15 minutes and bani got off thanking sean. She went up to reception, gave her name and said she was here for an interview and the lady at the reception told her to go to the 15^th floor. Bani went to the 15^th floor and met sean's wife sarah and told her she was here for the interview. Both of them got on really well from the word go and Sarah took bani to the board room where she will be interviewed.

Sarah: Sir this is bani and she is here for the interview.

Adi stood up and shook hands with bani: Hello bani, I'm Aditya and this is Ms Roshni Chopra. We will be taking your interview along with Sarah. Please take a seat.

Bani: thank you sir, it's a pleasure meeting all of you.

The interview started and both Adi and Sarah were very impressed with bani except for roshni who thought that jai was going to like this girl as well and she did not want that to happen as jai did not even look at her. When it was time to make a decision roshni said that she did not think bani was suitable for the job and bani looked at her confidently and said "and may I know on what basis Ms Chopra?"

Roshni was caught completely off guard as she did not have any valid reasons for rejecting bani and she said the first thing that came to her mind "Erm.. It's because you don't have any previous experience in working in the UK since you were not born and raised in this country" she said with a smirk.

Bani smiled and said in her British accent: I got a scholarship to do my MBA in Oxford University when I was 18 years old Ms Chopra. I've studied and worked in the UK for five years already and went back to India after I graduated. You don't necessarily have to be born and raised in a certain country to have work experience there.

Hearing this roshni's face lost colour while Adi and Sarah smiled as it was the first time someone had put roshni in her place and they couldn't wait to appoint bani.

Adi: Welcome to WGI bani, you are selected. Sarah will explain all your duties to you and will also take you to meet the CEO.

Bani: thank you so much sir, I will not disappoint you.

Adi: Everyone calls me Adi Sir beta but you can call me Adi uncle as you are the same age as my kids.

Bani: In that case then all of you should call me angel as nobody ever calls me bani from where I come from.

Sarah: Congrats angel and welcome to WGI. If you will please follow me I'll show you your cabin and do the handover.

Once in the corridor Bani asked sarah if she could make a quick call and phoned Raj and informed him that she got the job and that too without any recommendations and she texted sean the good news as well. Sarah showed bani her cabin and explained her everything she needed to know. She also told bani that their CEO was very particular so she should ensure that everything should be perfect. Bani knew her boss won't have any complaints with her as she was a perfectionist herself.

Sarah: Come angel, I'll introduce you to our boss now.

They walked to the end of the corridor and knocked on a door went in when they heard a voice say "come in".

Jai was working on the SGC file when he heard his pa's voice and looked up. He was pleasantly surprised when he saw angel standing in front of him and thought he was day dreaming again. He noticed that she was dressed in a black business suit and white shirt and looking very professional.

Sarah: Sir, this is angel and she has been appointed as your pa for the next 3 months. And angel meet Mr Jai Walia, CEO of WGI.

Bani smiled and shook Jai's hands: Hello Mr Walia. Nice meeting you.

Jai was surprised hearing her British accent: Welcome to WGI angel. I hope you will enjoy working with us and will stay with us for longer that these three months.

Bani: Thank you Mr Walia. I can only work for three months with you as I have to return to India after that.

Jai: Humein umeed hai ke hum aap ka yeh faisla badal deinge aur aap humein chor kar kahin nahin jaeingi.

Bani: We'll see about that Mr Walia kyunki main apne faisle nahi badalti.

Jai: Main bhi kabhi haar nahi manta angel. I hope you have explained everything to angel sarah and also made her aware of the fact that I like everything done to perfection.

Sarah: Yes sir I have explained everything and I will do the handover tomorrow.

Jai: Thank you Sarah, if you don't mind I would like to have a word with angel.

As soon as sarah left the office jai smiled at bani and asked her to take a seat.

Jai: As you must know by now tomorrow is Sarah's last day before she goes on maternity leave angel and I want you to organise a farewell party for her and all the employees will be invited. My whole family will be attending the party as well. I trust you will make this a memorable experience for her.

Bani: If you don't mind can I please invite Sarah's husband as well and plan one more surprise for her?

Jai: That's a wonderful idea angel and what surprise may I ask?

Bani: It's a surprise Mr Walia so I can't tell. You'll have to wait and watch. Is there anything else I can do?

Jai: I would love a coffee black no sugar.

Bani smiled and said she will bring it right away. Her phone rang again just when she got up her seat to leave the room. She took the call when she came out of the room.

Chapter 4

Raj had already left for India as a problem had cropped up in a project they were currently working on and he was calling to inform bani about his safe arrival. Ria who always had something to complain about snatched the phone from Raj and started complaining,

Ria: Hi di, app kaisi ho?

Bani: Hi bachaa? I'm fine aur tum kaisi ho? Tum ghar main kissi ko pareshaan to nahi kar rahi ho na?

Ria: Am fine di. Main kissi ko pareshaan nahi kar rahi houn di lekin Raj bhai mere lie kuch nahi lae London se aur app ne bhi kuch nahi bheja. So not fair di.

Bani was making Jai's coffee while speaking to Ria on the phone and she did not notice Roshni listening on to her conversation from behind.

Bani: Humein shopping karne ka waqt hi nahi mila bachaa. I had to look for a flat and job as soon as I got here aur Raj bhai had to go back urgently last night. He is already feeling bad about not meeting me before he left, please don't make him feel worse about your gifts. I promise to bring something special for you when I come back in three months. Bas tum apna khayal rakna and don't you dare go out alone, make sure there is someone with you every time you go out warna I'll always be worried about you aur main yahan concentrate nahi kar paungi. Ok bacha now cheer up aur Sameer ko phone do.

Ria: Ok di I promise main aap ko shikayat ka mauka nahi doungi. Hold on main Sameer ko phone deti houn.

Sameer: Hey angel how are you? Tum theek to ho na?

Bani: Main theek houn sam. Acha suno please take Ria shopping today and get her everything she wants. She sounded pretty upset when I spoke to her. Aur papa se kehna main bilkul theek houn and don't worry about me. Tell Raj bhai to email me the details about the problems that cropped up as well aur main unko phone karungi. Acha ab main rakhti houn I have to give my boss his coffee. (Bani said with an amused smile on her face)

Saying so she hung up and turned around with Jai's coffee and came face to face with Roshni. Jai who had also stepped out of his office right at that moment saw roshni blocking bani's way, approached both girls. Since roshni's back was facing jai she did not notice his presence but bani did as she saw him approaching.

Roshni: What is so amusing about giving coffee to your boss Ms angel?

Bani: Don't you know it's bad manners to listen on to other peoples' conversation Ms Chopra? And it's Ms Bani for you not angel. Please ensure you don't call me angel next time. Now if you will please excuse me Mr Walia is waiting for his coffee.

Roshni fumed hearing this and said: Well Bani I'm not interested in you or whoever you were speaking to on the phone. I just came here to warn you to stay away from jai. He is mine and he will never be interested in a middle class Indian girl like you.

Jai: How dare you say this Ms Chopra? Don't forget you are a mere employee of WGI. I don't share any kind of relationship with you and will never do so stop this nonsense of yours and get back to work. One more thing Ms Chopra, if I ever hear you say something like this again you will be fired.

Roshni walked off from there red faced feeling very humiliated. Jai was still very angry even when roshni had left from there and bani felt bad seeing him like this. She wanted him to be smiling like before as she didn't like it when he was upset or worried.

Bani kept her hand on Jai's arm and said: please calm down Mr Walia. She is gone now and I don't think she'll make such a mistake again.

Jai looked at bani with sad eyes and said: You don't understand Ang... umm... bani. I've always treated all my employees in a strict professional way. I agree that women throw themselves at me all the time but I've never even given them a second glace as I know they want to be with JAI WALIA not jai. None of them are interested in the real Jai. I've always stayed away from all these women, I don't even smile at them. I treat them professionally. Even though sarah is my pa and I treat her nicely I still maintain a strictly professional relationship with her. I thought I had managed to maintain a good reputation and it really hurts when I hear something so disgusting about myself. Bohot dard hota hain Bani.

Bani felt really sad for him and she wanted to take all his pain away. She held his arm and guided him to the nearby couch.

Bani: Aap pehle yahan baithye aur yeh coffee pijiyer.

Jai took a seat on the couch and bani sat next to him. She waited for him to take a sip of his coffee before saying anything.

Bani: I understand how it feels when someone discredits you from something you've worked really hard to achieve. I've been through this before. Gussa mujhe bhi bohot aya tha lekin agar main uss waqt uska challenge accept karne ke bajae uspe gussa karti to us ki baat galat hote hue bhi sahi sabit ho jati. Lekin instead of showing him my anger I showed him my determination and not only accepted his challenge but also challenged him in return. Issi liye to main yahan ayi houn apni family se door poore teen mahine ke liye. Zindagi main kai baar aisa hota hai jab kissi na kissi baat se hume bohot takleef pohonchti hai lekin yeh hum par depend karta hai whether we fight and win or lose hope and accept defeat. Main yeh nahi kehrahi houn ke app Ms Chopra ki kahi hui baton ko bhool jayier. Main yeh keh rahi houn ke you should take that on as a challenge and show not only her but everyone else that you are way better than what they think. Gussa karne se aapko kuch hasil nahi hoga balki aaphi ka nuksaan hoga.

Jai listened to bani speaking and all his anger just vanished and he was calm and thinking with a rational mind again. He admired her even more for her thoughts. She was truly his angel he thought.

Jai: Tum bilkul theek keh rahi ho Bani. Main nai aisa kabhi socha hi nahi. Gussa to bohot ata hai mujhe but I never accept defeat either.

Bani: Nobody will be able to defeat you once you learn how to control your anger. Jab aap gussa karte hain to aap ki soch ban ho jati hai aur aap ka blood pressure barhe ga woh alag baat hai. Aaj ke baad jab bhi aap ko gussa aye aap meri baat yaad karlena and please control your temper.

Jai: I'll try to control my temper from now on. Waise tum kiss challenge ki baat kar rahi thi jis ki wajah se tum yahan ayi ho? And sarah introduced you as angel right, to phir yeh bani?

Bani: My real name is bani lekin jab se paida hui houn sab angel hi bulate hain. In fact most people who know me don't know that my real name is bani aur woh challenge wali baat ek bohot lambi kahani hai, aapko baad main sunaoungi pakka. I really have to rush now kal ki party ki saari tayari jo karni hai.

Jai's massi who came to give jai his lunch witnessed the whole scene from how roshni made jai angry to how bani calmed him down and made him smile. She found bani really nice and well mannered. Jai and bani were so engrossed in their conversation that they did not notice massi standing there. They only noticed her when bani was about to get up from her seat.

Jai: Arre massi aap kab ayi?

Massi: Main to bohot der se yahan khari houn munna aur yahan job hi hua woh dekh bhi lia aur sun bhi lia. Kitni baar kaha hai tujhse ke apne gusse pe kaboo rakh. Lekin tum meri sunte kahan ho?

Jai: Choriye na massi yeh sab batein aur angel se miliye. Aur angel yeh meri massi hai. Main bohot chota tha jab ma passed away tab hi se massi ne hi humein sambhala hai. Mere liye yehi meri ma hain.

Bani said "Namaste massi" and took massi's blessings. Massi blessed bani and kissed her forehead.

Massi: Kitni pyari bachi hai aur kitne ache sanskar hain. Tum yahan nayi ho beta? Main ne tumhe pehle kabhi nahi dekha.

Bani: ji madam main nai aaj hi join kiya hai aur main kal hi India se ayi houn.

Massi: Madam nahi tum mujhe massi bulao beta. Main lunch layi houn chalo tum bhi munna ke saath khana khalo.

Bani: Munna? Yeh munna kaun hain massi?

Massi smiled and pointed at Jai "yehi to mera munna hai" while jai turned red in embarassement. He took the lunch bag from massi and said "massi aap ko kal ki party ke liye shopping karni thi na? Aap jayier aap ko der ho rahi hai. Main aap ko shaam ko milta houn"

Massi: Theek hain munna main ja rahi houn lekin make sure you eat your lunch on time. Main tumhain kal ki party main milti houn angel tum aogi na?

Bani: Ji massi main zaroor aoungi.

Massi left from there and jai and bani headed back to jai's office.

Bani: Mai aap ka khana laga doun munna?

She burst out laughing as soon as she said that and jai felt even more embarrassed.

Jai: I knew you would burst out laughing any moment issi liye I sent massi away. Main nai unhe kitni baar kaha hai not to call me munna par woh sunti hi nahi hain. It gets so embarrassing sometimes.

Bani stopped laughing with great difficulty and said

Bani: But it's a cute name. "Munna" and she burst out laughing harder this time.

Just then there was a knock on the door and bani controlled herself and stopped laughing. Jai asked the person to come in and it was sean who had come to drop bani's lunch.

Sean: I'm really sorry to interrupt you sir/madam. I came to drop madam's lunch.

Bani: Thank you so much sean and I've told you so many times to call me angel and not madam.

Sean smiled and said: Ok angel now please have your lunch before Ria has my head on a platter. She has already threatened me twice in the last five minutes.

Sean's phone started ringing the moment he took ria's name.

Sean: Speak of the devil.

Bani laughed and said "don't let her hear you say that"

Sean: Yes madam I have dropped your di's lunch. Yes madam please hold on a minute, and he passed the phone to bani.

Bani: Hi bachaa. Haan baba I've got my lunch aur main abhi khane jarahi houn. I know I'm not allowed outside food bachaa and I'll make my own lunch from tomorrow onwards. Ab khush?

Bani cut the call short and handed back the phone to sean. "I'm really sorry about ria's behaviour sean. She can be very childish sometimes."

Sean: It's their love for you which makes them so possessive about you angel. And frankly speaking you are worse than them when it comes to their safety.

Bani: Yes I do realise that I give all of you a hard time but I can't take any chances with our security. Enough about me and my family. It's a good thing that you've come here as I needed to speak to you. Mr Walia has given me the responsibility to make arrangements for a farewell party for sarah tomorrow and you have to come and surprise her. I want to do a slideshow about both of you as her second surprise so I need you to collect as many pictures as you can and email everything to me by tonight. Is that ok?

Sean: I don't have enough words to thank you both for what you are doing for sarah. I'll email all the pictures to you by tonight angel. And thank you so much Mr Walia.

Jai: It's no problem at all Sean. Sarah is a very good employee and it's angel who is doing all the hard work not me.

Sean: I better go now before she comes looking for me. Is there anything else I can help you with angel?

Bani: That would be all Sean. Thank you.

As soon as the door closed behind sean jai could not stop himself and asked bani

Jai: Will you please tell me what that was all about angel? First the challenge then sean bringing you lunch and being threatened by ria. Who is this ria whom you keep calling bachaa? And what security were you talking about? Will you please tell me what this is all about?
