CID Hindi Help Thread

Yeah, this a kind of Help! thread for those CID-ians like me who love hindi but sometimes cannot understand certain words, sentences, jokes etc. Here members can ask and am sure those who knows Hindi very well will certainly help us.

Am very sure there are people here who have limited vocab in hindi and find it a bit hard at times to follow the show, even though u love it!!

I watch the show to train myself in hindi as well as to watch d characters and their investigation only...I dont always get their jokes because i pay attention to d actors nt d dialouges!!! Hehe...

So anyone wt a doubt, plz ask here....

Those who are die-hard CID fans would have learnt enough Hindi just by watching CID. 😆

basically, daya is trying to say that there is no use of talking to the pco person but can someone please give me the literal word-to-word meaning...heres the conversation:

"Daya: Sir, us PCO waale se baat karne ka matlab hai kheechad main patthar phenkna

ACP: sankhi hai?

Daya: sankhi bole tho...khopdi puri khiski hui hai, sir"

Well, it is a Hindi simile, which translates to "Talking to that PCO guy is like sticking your head in the mud", which means that the man was too arrogant to talk too and they were getting no where. The last dialogue said by Daya translates to: "Mentally senile? Sir, the guy's head is totally insane!!!"😆
