firstly..i'm sleep deprived so i might sound crazy for thinking like this. secondly, if you don't like reading analysis and thoughts..i suggest you read another thread. 😆 cuz this post has a whole load of analysis. fair warning. 😆 don't say i didn't tell you.
i was watching today's episode and a sudden thought struck to me. this happened when khanak said "mera suraj mujhe chod ke chala gaya" or something like that..i don't remember the exact dialogue. but...when i saw that, i realized that their names had such irony. i mean their names have a meaning that's completely opposite to how the character is shaped, or what happens in their life.
num.1 : suraj. according to a name website, his name means "sun" or "light" or "radiance". his character indeed was like that..i mean suraj was the happy-go-lucky guy. i agree with that part but what he gave the others in his life is nothing but grief. i'm not saying suraj is a bad character, but what is showed of him, he dies and he takes away the "light" from everyone's life. he was kahank's suraj, but in truth, he takes away the "light", the "radiance" from her life. his death steals the happiness from her life, not to forget colour. in truth, suraj is not suraj. 😆 i know that doesn't make sense..i guess i'm weird for thinking like this.
num.2 : shantanu, meaning "auspicious form" ,or his nickname shaan, meaning "respected, famous". his name is nothing like his character. 😆 he is not even close to being respected in the village, he just caused a death, no one gives him respect anymore. his real name means 'auspicious form' meaning good luck, or good being. shantanu is not a mile close to being good luck, infact, he is the worst thing possible that happened to khanak and the rest of the family. suraj died because of him, how can he be 'auspicious'? this has to be irony no?
num.3 : khanak apparently means "sweet sounds of bangles"..it has an overall positive, happy sounding meaning. after today, khanak's life is going to be nothing like that. she broke her bangles today..it was zoomed. i think they were trying to show that no, like the sadness in her life? the happy go lucky who loves buying bangles is going to happy no longer. her life will be voided of all colours, i mean the black saree she had to wear today. the way she broke her bangles. pretty sad if you ask me. once again, irony.
natasha..her name suits her. the name has always given me a vamp-ish, villian-y feeling, and i'm pretty sure she is going to live up to the expectation. 😆 no irony there.
after all the thinking, i've come up with two questions.
1) do you think they were named that way for a reason? do you think the story's creatives named them that way after keeping in mind the irony in their lives? i'm pretty sure they did..this can't be mere co-incidence. it can't possibly be because the names sound nice..which they do..there has to be a deeper meaning in that no?
2) am i the only one who thought of this? or are their any others who caught this while watching the show?😆

that was it..no more thinking. i don't think i'd want to damage my brain with all the thinking. 😆
will be waiting to read other thoughts..maybe someone telling me to visit a psychologist? 😆
