The Roar (of) a Junior Minister

Surely we're past the point of no return for the illustrious Mr. Tharoor with this latest imbroglio? There is a new brood on the Indian political scene (some even sons of seasoned thugs), wearing some very old mantles ... corruption and intrigue ... his latest inamorata (very unbecomingly labeled as coming from a 'humble background' simply because papa is a retired mid-level army officer) gets a share (70 crores) in a newly formed cricket team ... nononono she declared, she's getting sweat equity (causing the unflappable Junior Minister to break out in a sweat I wonder?) for her own untiring efforts at marketing ... her paramour not even peripherally involved?! Really?!! If nothing else, looks like Mr. Tharoor has a penchant for such tactics. I've 'read' it said that while on his way to stratospheric heights at the UN, he moved the future wife #2 into an adjacent office (he unfortunately, did not make it into the rarified atmosphere in NY, so moved his enormously gifted self to the land of his forbears who did speak his native, native tongue)!

From among the 'new' I like the Brit. habit of ministers resigning at the very mention of controversy. Methinks this is a good custom to adopt ... Shashi has had his last hurrah and should voluntarily exit the public stage ... to live happily ever after being bowled over by wife #3's charms. He can also get all those eyebrow plucking sessions (yes, I just read that too) free of charge at her spa.

So, a not so great or novel an end of an Indian [1] ... his being history is already old news (I'm too late; even his Wikipedia page has been updated ) ... but not as old as our expectations of people in such public view ... that of integrity and the ability to rise above being the scum de la scum ... more's the pity ... one would have thought that the good Dr. Tharoor would have understood something of 'Law and Diplomacy' for which he was awarded a PhD from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

[1] Just me playing around with the title of his early work 'The Great Indian Novel' (a satire on the Mahabhaarat)

Well, he duly deserved it. But I think people have been picking on him a bit too much. Controversies followed him by the tail but most were unnecesary and inefectual. Although what is THE most ironic controversy was his stay at a 5-star hotel, while representing a party whose slogan is as follows: "Congress ka haath, aam aadmi ke saath"😆 He gave the most useless reasons for him staying there by claiming that there were no gym facilities at the governmental residence😆 and that he was paying from his own pocket(yeah right😆) But enough of that. It was about time he'd leave, he's a disgrace for his party, his state and the country. Now that I think of it, he's the most ironical person alive. Doing all this fraudulent business while hailing from the most educated state in India *shakes his head* I'm sure Pogo bhai would have something to say about this. To think that this man was chosen as a nominee for UN Secretary-General, is the limit!

With so many controversies, this was bound to happen. Has anyone read his book "The Great Indian Novel" that was referred in the first post? I haven't read it but heard that Bhism is Gandhi, Draupadi is Democracy, Duryudhan is Indira Gandhi, Dhristrashta is Nehru, Bhim is Indian Army, etc.

Also I found an interesting article on Lalit modi and Tharoor:

Hullo Shashi Modi, Meet Lalit Tharoor

🤣 Now thats hilarious! Tharoor seems to stuck up in some era or charac. He just isnt fitting into the real life. Right from his tweets on Cattle class when Madam was ready to travel, to critiquing Nehruvian polics, commenting on visa restrictions, he had ENOUGH to embarass the Govt.

I find the whole buzz a joke and nothing more. Who is this Shashi Tharoor? He's nothing. I have always considered him a buffoon. He was just a very minute player in the IPL business.

The question here is, will anyone dare to touch the big fishes involved in IPL game like Sharad Pawar and Vijay Malliya❓ I have no doubt about the fact that lots of black money is involved in this dirty game. All kinds of mafia men, criminal politicians and the dirtiest among businessmen are involved. But they are invisible to us. We, unaware of any such things, sit infront of the TV and watch the matches. We become puppets in their hands. Here they make us buffoons and we make them richer.

It's funny to see that the irrelevant Tharoor is the one who is most accused and most criticised among politicians in recent times.😆 Why we dont hear as many voices against murderers like Narendra Modi and Shibu Soren❓ Why no one dares to raise their voice against the most corrupt criminal politicians like Sharad Pawar, Amar Singh, Mulayam Singh e.t.c.❓
Big joke!

Nope Zorro yaar, if it is was possible to nail the big fishes that easily, then our prominent politicians like Narendra Modi, Sharad Pawar, Lalu Prasad, Mayavathi, Jayalalitha all should be in jail now. Instead they are happily sitting in their thrones ruling the masses

Haha the CBI😆 CBI and many other agencies have come up with such claims earlier too but for no avail. CBI is corrupt to the core. In Kerala CBI investigated the notorious 'Abhaya case' for more than a decade. Many times the officials incharge of investigation were changed as they were found to be guilty of manipulating evidences. Same is the case of Vigilance and anti-corruption bureau. Imagine! lots of corrupt officials in the anti-corruption bureau!
The nexus between businessmen, politicians and public officials is damn strong and deep
