Sayeed-though spelt Kavya,it is pronounced as Kavy-a(just half a instead of dragging it).Quite common name!And of course girls can be named Kavya too but prolonged A.Hope I am clear lol.

No, I believe its a boys name. There use to be serial called Kavyaanjali. The boys name was Kavya and the girls name was Anjali.
