Personally, for me, Amar has been by far the best performer DID has seen, because in my opinion, he's been the one who's grown the most, done the most styles and done them excellently, improved on all the fronts that he was weak in, and has a humbling personality.
Technically speaking though, Shakti has by far been the best dancer this season. She's been always correct with her contemporary, and most dance routines that she's tried, barring perhaps that classical act. But come on, everyone can forgive one dance not so up to the mark. Moreover, I heard she's done excellent on Friday, so it may as well state she's covered strides even in the classical field. So for me, she definitely deserves to be crowned the next Dancing Star of India, and I sincerely hope she'll win it through and through.
As you said it Sash, I think Shakti has it all, the flow, the right emotions, the smooth transitions, the flexibility and the right attitude. What's more, something I've always liked about her, is that she's been so consistent. She deserves that title in the first place for being so consistent. Since her first audition, till her last performance until now, there's not been a single performance that's been "bad" as such. She's won the most POTD awards, and she's topped the voting twice, which is a record yet in DID for any female dancer. And even though I am one of those who does not believe in the sanctity of the voting system, I think she ought to be crowned winner, by whichever way it will be done!
I've enjoyed watching her perform, of course, will all the credit to Terence Sir as well. But that's only what I ask from a contestant, the ability to floor us with their dance, nothing else. And that's something she's excelled at. I don't think I'll forget that likes of her, Amar or Kruti soon. And for this, she definitely deserves to win from my side! Go Shakti!
