..Friends in Need ARE Friends lndeed..
Bharti: Okay guys..good that you've made the most out of school! I'm very happy! Will meet you guys tomorrow for our release of our results..and i'm having a terrible head cram right now..I need to go..Bye!..Love you both alot!..(and she disconnects the line and throws the phone onto her bed and lay flat on her tummy..snuggling up into her blanket and her pillows..eventually falling asleep.)
Sunny and Payal were still on the line..
Sunny: I think you know what we need to do Payal..
Payal: Yes i do sunny..Will meet you in 3 hours time..At you know where..
Sunny: Sure payal..See ya later..Bye honey..!
Payal: Bye darlin'..
And they both put down the phone...

Venue : Outside Bharti's Room door
Day/Date: Sunday, 11th July 2000
Time: 2 in the Afternoon
Both Sunny and Payal knew that Bharti was feeling down so they decided to go to her house and cheer her up. However having reached there, they started hesitating to go in becasue they were afraid that Bharti would be angry with them. The thing is that if Bharti doesn't want to talk about it, it means she doesn't want to talk about it and these two sneaking up and not telling her that they are coming will only worsen the problem.
Outside Bharti's room door,
Payal (reaching out her hand halfway to knock on the door but eventually pulling back) : Ahh Sunny, why don't you knock?
Sunny (reaching out his hand but then stopping) : Hahah i mean why me Payal..? You go ahead. I mean ladies first right..?
Payal : Exactly Sunny! Ladies first! So YOU knock on first!.
Sunny (contented with the fact that Payal mentioned 'ladies' and was just inches away from knocking the door when he realised Payal's intentions) : Payal! This is not fair! You said that just so that i would knock on the door first.. You're playing with my feelings! You know i get happy when i hear that!. I'm not going to knock and get lashed at by Bharti! No ways! You first!
Payal (annoyed that Sunny figured it out) : No Sunny! I had no intentions!! ..At all!
Sunny: Don't lie! Yes you had!
Payal: No!
Sunny: YES!
Payal: Ok fine! Yes i had..! But so what..? I mean it's just a door..Just knock it and go in first!..
Sunny: Exactly! Just a door! So why don't you go ahead first?
Payal: Now you're being unfair!
Sunny: Am not!
Payal: Are too! (And they both started arguing at the top of their lungs over a well..a door outside Bharti's room 😆)
Suddenly the door swung opened and both of them saw a very much worned out Bharti standing there with her arms folded, fuming with anger. Both Sunny and Payal smiled weakly back at Bharti. Bharti did not move at all. She remained there giving them the same expression. In an attempt to break the dreadful silence Payal blurted,
Payal: Oh Hi Bharti! What a ...pleasant surprise..!
Sunny nudged Payal hard whispering in her ears,
Sunny: What you mean by "Hi"..? Ahh correct me if i am wrong but we are at Bharti's house and so technically the one who should be surprised, not pleasant in this case, is BHARTI not you, you goose!
Payal realised her silly mistake and immediately tried to cover up by pushing Sunny infront of her saying,
Payal : Ahh Bharti!..Sunny..!! (hitting his shoulder hard)..Yes Sunny baby (pulling his cheeks) wanted to meet you and erm i can't..Can't possibly so no..because..because..(thinking hard of what to say)..ahh because..he dragged me along! I told him right from the start that "listen sweety Bharti doesn't like all these kinda things..and the last thing she want to do right now is discussed what had happened last night.."..So Sunny..tell me..Why did you insist on bringing me here...?..Saaf saaf bolo huh..
Sunny (shoving off Payal's hands that was on his shoulder ) : Oh just shut up Payu!..Bharti it was both of us who had plan to come meet you..and we know you don't appreciate such sudden surprises, especially now so because of what had happened, so we were nervous coming in..and so all this blabbering..
Payal smacked Sunny's head and Sunny turned around and they both started again..Going into an arguement. Bharti was more annoyed than ever with her friends. They were behaving like small kids, arguing and blaming each other. She so didn't need this right now on top of the heavy head she was already experiencing.
Bharti (closing her eyes shut and opening them wide .. in anger ) : GUYS!! Will the two of y'll just stop it already!!..This is so not helping me at all!
Payal and Sunny were shocked and they immediately stopped arguing and remained still. Payal sighed saying,
Payal: Ok fine. Yea it was me who was involved too in coming to see you. I'm sorry for pushing the blame on Sunny..but Bharti don't be angry with us please. We were just worried for you.
Bharti rolled her eyes at them and stomped off into her room, leaving the door wide open. She snuggled up into her bedsheet covers, lying flat on her tummy.
Payal : Bharti..? Ah..Can we come in?
Bharti (looked up at them and threw a pillow ) : Off course!! What's the door opened for?
Sunny and Payal both smiled and entered inside, closing the door shut. Both of them lay down beside Bharti, each taking one side.
Sunny: Bharti, you know us just too well!
Payal: Yea..You must have heard us arguing outside..and well we wanted to see how you were doing because you sounded pretty down over the phone.
Sunny (puts his hands on Bharti's head) : I mean you not wanting to talk about what happened last night only meant that you are unhappy.
Payal: So tell us. What's going to happen now..? I mean Armaan proposed and you said yes so where does it go from here..?
Bharti : Guys am really tired right now. Please sone do na..(she tried to divert their questions)
Sunny: Ok Payal! We have to take it up a notch higher. This lady ain't gonna budge..(and he winked at Payal, showing her some hand signs )
Payal (silently at Sunny,showing her fingers) : One
Sunny (back at Payal) : Two
Both of them : THREE!!
They pulled off the bedsheet covers and started tickling Bharti hard...
Bharti (in between screams and laughter ) : Stop it!! Guys stop it!!...
Payal: Nah ah! Not till you speak up!..and seriously how much more do you wanna sleep..? We have given you ample time already.!
Sunny : Yes! Carry on Payu! Ha ha!..
Bharti (finally coming out of her bed having fought through with Payal and Sunny and still laughing trying to catch her breath) : Ok fine! fine!! My lips are not sealed..! I'll tell y'l everything..and how i feel too..Happy..? Kush..?
Payal: Bohut!..
Bharti: But first can we get some comfort food..? Am starving..and i need to pour my sorrows into them..(she gave a sulking face)
Sunny: Got them! (He took out a bag full of candies and chocolates and passed them to Bharti and Payal)
Each took some and sat up straight on Bharti's bed.
Bharti (taking a bite into her Crunchie Honeycomb Chocolate) : Mmm..These are way better than homework..
Payal: Homework..? You mean better than boys..!
Sunny : I second that Payal!..😆
Both Bharti and Payal looked at Sunny..and all three shared a moment of laughter.
Bharti : Ok well! About what happened.. Armaan and I were drunk yesterday night and in that state Armaan proposed to me. I well said yes. I mean who woudn't right..? He was just so...so sweet. Going down on one knee and the ring..Hah!..It was a beautifully naturally made one.
Payal: Made one..?
Sunny: Ooohh show me!
Bharti: Guys this is not some diamond or real engagement ring to flaunt like how every other engaged women does it..It's just a sweet and simple one..which i love so much..But anyways..heck..(shows her ring finger)..this is what it is..
Both Sunny and Payal went "Aww!..How sweet!.." upon seeing the ring.
Bharti (staring at the 'ring') : I know right..I like the fact that he actually made it..god knows when he made it..that i can't remember..But it's so environmentally friendly..!! Guys he cares for the environment! Just like me!...
Payal (smacks her forehead) : Not again Bharti..Please lets not get into the "Save planet Earth" thing now..
Bharti: Haha no i wasn't gonna to! Anyways where was I..?
Sunny: You said yes
Bharti: Ah yes..i said yes..unfortunately this ring that i am using doesn't mean a thing.
Payal : Hmm i see where this is going.
Bharti: Morning when we woke up, he seemed pretty shocked that so many things had happened. I mean well even i was shocked..but his shockness was a different one. Hah! I don't even know if i am making sense here..well i was shocked with the proposal yet had a feeling of excitement thinking about it. I mean i knew that it doesn't mean we are getting married or anything..i took the ring with the meaning that Armaan and I were officially a couple..Like Boyfriend girlfriend kinda..But his shocked expression, was a shocked cum dissappointed followered by a regretful look. Which means he's totally not in favour of us being together..and obviously didn't meant anything he said when he was down on one knee..(Bharti looked down at her chocolate in her hands..)
Sunny (getting angry ): That ruthless br...
Bharti (cutting Sunny) : Not a word against Armaan Sunny! It's not his fault! He didn't promise me anything.
Payal tries to calm Sunny down.
Bharti (carried on speaking) : I mean who am i kidding right..? Why would Armaan like a girl like me.? He has tons of better choices out there. Plus i've never saw him in that way in the first place too. I was never attracted to him unlike every other girl in college who were drawn into him., like as though he was a magnet...and also..
Payal (cutting Bharti) : You were never attracted to him Bharti..but gradually you became attracted to him..and now.. you still are..
Bharti (sighing out loudly) : Yah i know Payal! But i think this is all an infatuation and nothing else. Must have been the kiss we had that night which i guess gave me high hopes. I don't wish to approach him either..I mean i'm just to embarrassed to do that..What if he pretends of what..? I don't think i can take that look of his again..Will just let it be.. Anyways..come on! There's more to life than this..I want to carry on studying.. (Bharti smiled widely at them and took a bite of her chocolate)
Sunny : Seriously when i get my hands on him! Bharti!! You can't not blame him! He was involved to right..?? Wasn't he? He danced with you, he brought you out of the club ..heck who even proposed in the first place..?!!
Bharti:
I know Sunny..!! But i approved of the proposal didn't I..?
Sunny
: Well that's because you weren't in your senses!
Bharti: Neither was Armaan..Sunny..
Sunny stared at Bharti and snatched the chocolate that Bharti was eating and ate it himself. He rolled his eyes at Bharti and turned away. 😆
Payal (trying to break the tension between the two of them) : Ok, i know this might sound shocking because it's coming from me...but Bharti just forget about Armaan and whatever that happened that night. You deserve better sweetheart! Just put this phase behind you.. It was all in a moment of foolishness. Plus i've noticed he didn't say anything after you guys even kissed and now even after proposing he chose to remain silent, not uttering a word regarding what had happened. So if Armaan doesn't want to accept it then there's no point dwelling over it. Seriously girl i believe you deserve way better than a confused flirt like Armaan!..
Bharti : Thanks Payal... (she hugged Payal)
Sunny stopped eating the chocolates and turned to look at Bharti.
Sunny : Hmm..yea i agree with Payal..and sorry for being so rude Bharti..but it's just that i don't like it when my friends are treated unfairly! I mean it was not like as though you went after Armaan..he was the one that approached ya during Prom Night..and anyways whatever you desicion is, we're always here to support you.
Bharti smiled and leaned forward to hug Sunny. While hugging,
Sunny: One thing Bharti, am not done with this Armaan dude yet! Wait till we meet face to face!
Bharti broked off from the hug and smacked Sunny. She grabbed afew candies and started thowing them at him which eventually turned into a "Candy" fight among the three of them, with them jumping up and down on the bed. After afew minutes all three of them fell back down onto the bed and looked up at the ceiling.
Bharti: Guys... Tomorrow is the release of our Final Examination Results.
Sunny: Oh hush !! Please don't remind me of it. The thought of it just gives me goosebumps. Wonder how we did..?..
Payal: Yea tell me about it guys! It determines whether we qualify to enter a University. How scary!
Bharti: I know..It's like a whole new chapter in life! University campus, new friends, more books, change of venue..have i mention more books..?..Oh well yea..more books..means more studying..wow..sure gonna be exciting..!!
Payal : Puh-lease Bharti! Of all things you picked out books..and left out something very crucial!..Hai...more boys...😍
Sunny: Hot boys Payal..Hot boys.......
Bharti: Shut up you two! Studies always comes first..then boys..and what not..!
Both Payal and Sunny : Ohh our Bharti is back!!!...
Bharti (smiled and having realised it herself ) : I've always been here guys..! ....(she told them)...Just got lost for abit..in the Armaan craze...(to herself she murmured) And waise Payal..what you mean by boys huh..? You've got Aditya remember..?
Payal (giggling) : Oh yah..that..i mean him..heheh..just slipped my mind for a bit..
All three of them laughed. After a moment of silence,
Bharti
: Guys...
Sunny and Payal :
Hmm...?..
Bharti : Thanks for coming to see me. It means alot. I know i was angry at first.. i mean you know me right..how i hate to talk about things when i am unhappy about them..But sometimes, after sharing how you feel..and letting loose..it feels much..much better!! I feel great now and at the end of the day am glad i still have my friends beside me..So thanks for being by my side at all times...
Payal : No problem at all..!! Always our pleasure..and hey what's this thanks for huh..?
Sunny :
Sirf thanks..?
Bharti :
Then what..?
Sunny :
Can i give Armaan a nice scolding at least..?
Bhari turned to her side where Sunny was lying down and she smiled at him...Sunny smiled back..but in a span of few minutes he went,
Sunny:
Ahhhhh!! Ouchh!! Bhartiiiiiiii!!!
Well it was because Bharti had kicked Sunny playfully off the bed and he fell onto the floor. Must have been painful since Sunny let out such a loud scream. 😆 Payal and Bharti both had a Hi-5 moment, burst out laughing..leaving Sunny to sulk away..
Afew hours later both Sunny and Payal decided to leave, after having watched a movie and stuffing themselves with so much of junk food.
Before leaving, Payal grabbed Bharti's ring finger and Sunny took off the "ring".
Payal : You woudn't be needing this anymore.
Sunny: Yes! Forget about him, forget about ring and throw the ring! (and he then threw the ring into Bharti's room dustbin.)
Bharti smiled and nod her head and said her goodbyes to them.
After they left, Bharti went back to lying down on her bed. She got up slightly and looked at the dustbin. Slowly she slipped out of her bed and walked towards it. She stared into it and after hesitating for a bit, she bend down and took the ring out. She open her dresser drawer and kept it safely inside. She looked at it one more time before closing the drawer shut and wiped off the tears that were falling down her cheeks.

Okay i know there is very little of Armu here in this part..actually on second thoughts..Armu doesn't even come here...😆..Sorry for that..I wanted to bring in Armu's POV as well regarding this thing..but i realised that this part became too long..so i'll continue in the next part..and well i know Armu seems like a badie here.....I don't like it like this...But well..had to make it this way...they can't get together too soon sadly..am missing ArBi scenes too...:(....but we get them off the other FFs at least...😆 😆..So anyways hope you guys enjoyed this part and hopefully (yes another hope of mine 😆) ArBi will be back in my FF together in the next part...😃....
