Hey guys,
If u read my post of "Rate the performances on April 9", u'll know that I am rlly disappointed with all the performances today! nothing new from all the contestants and they were all not up to the mark! Terence should've picked better styles for all of them 🤔 coz it didn't seem like a challenge for any of them! for example, last week, it was a challenge in true sense for Shakti to do popping and wacking, Amar to do b-boying, Binny to do tutting, Punit to do breaking, and Amrita to do krupming so I enjoyed last week's episode, but today, it didn't seem like much of a challenge for anyone! and MORE than being disappointed in Terence's challenge, I'm disappointed with the choice of concept for each contestant, especially for 2 contestants: Amar and Punit!
Punit has done so many of these sad, dramatic, and loud performances. his tollywood style performance, tribute to MJ, sachin act, mera naam joker, duets with Saajan, even the duet with Shakti. ALL of these performances to some extent have been loud and dramatic. I rlly haven't seen the soft side of him (in the performances I mean) and even today's performance was nothing new or totally different for either him or me (as a viewer). Amar, on the other hand, has shown a lot more variety but I was still disappointed with his performance today bcz he also has given a lot of contemporary performances before, and the aerial act have also been done so many times on DID stage that even Amar's performance didn't look new or refreshing!
So, all that being said, I felt that if there was a swap between Amar's and Punit's act today, it would've been MUCH more entertaining!! I mean we would've gotten to see Punit doing a soft, romantic/sad performance on a soft song, and Amar giving an agressive, loud and dramatic performance on a touchy story! Ofcourse I know what's done is done, but I'm just saying that this is something I would like to see in future! What do u all have to say?
