1. Carrot & Stick!

No use calling Army or Airforce, they have a seperate role. The paramilitary forces like the CRFP are in place for such situations. The security forces need to be better trained, fed, paid and equiped. I read somewhere that they did not even have radio sets...which era are we living in? No bullet proof jackets, no night vision equipments...we also need to call in people who have had success against the naxals for example experts from Andhra who have decimated the naxals in their state.

Also the political will needs to be there, some CMs were till recently were against taking any operation against the naxals. Obviously naxals can't function without some local support and funding, these needs to be worked on.

Also need to invest heavily in naxal affected areas, develop infrastructure, build more schools, help people living there...need to show them that their future lies in a mainstream, civilised & democratic India rather than with the naxals.

Majority of naxal leadership is from urban areas ironically, they are also surprisingly not tribals themselves...they are highly educated...need to target them. They should be made to be on the run and fear for their lives. Ek Kishenji to pakad nahi pa rahe hain, despite him using his cellphone to talk to media....I mean how difficult is it to pinpoint him to a specific area.

First somebody change the PM, nothing seems to affect him whether its 26/11 or murder of 75 jawans. It was a black day, a huge tragedy but he never speaks out. How can such a PM motivate common people and jawans?

Would the nexals have read & understood Marx & Lenin.. no way... then who are these naxals.. they are bunch of poor villagers whose innocence is being exploited by communist from across the border & inside ( by legal communist parties who tried their hand at democracy bt could not capture power at center for 30 years therefore are back to their basics of violence).
Most of the leaders of these so called maoist would be living in comfort on monies supplied by chinese.. Same thing hapened in Nepal .. Prachanda their leader frequently visits Hong Kong & Macau for vacations & fund collection...I think Goverment should fight naxals with an iron and Media must stop glorify these anti indian forces. The Goverment should not give into Human rightists groups demand.Brave police officers fighting naxals should be properly rewarded. It is the duty of the Goverment to protect democracy...If Shri Lankan's can flush out Prabhakaran , why can't we do the same ?Indian army should be given command to flush naxals leaders ,whos is playing behind the seens..they are unseen enemies only and only a strong army operation will flush them out...😊

very true deepak but i dont think this will ever happen, our govt and providing latest equip., Develpment of the area 😕 ...only solution is to finish them in one go with whatever the source needed instead of placing jawans their again to die....

Well it seems that they did have wireless sets...

So following things are needed...

- Political will
- Better training/equipments/intelligence/pay
- Coordination between central and state forces
- Development in affected areas, maybe certain % of the value of minerals extracted be invested back in respective states
- Abhiyaan against Naxal supporters wherever they are...
