In fact, apart from a few Tolly celebs and some known faces from the modelling circuit, the rest was family. Dimpy, who looked gorgeous in a Tarun Tahiliani sari stood next to her hubby dearest throughout the evening, welcoming all her guests that included her fave teachers and classmates from school. She was even seen touching her guests' feet much like a Bengali bride as Rahul shook hands and grinned from ear to ear.
"I met my dadu after ages. He had tears welling up in his eyes when he met Rahul. I'm truly touched," Dimpy dimpled.
The bride's mother, Sushmita Ganguly, was a happy woman. "My jamai has brought a lot of stuff for me. But I'm yet to unwrap them," she beamed, adding that Dimpy and her mother-in-law get along like a house on fire. Dimpy's sister, Koel, couldn't stop waxing eloquent about her brother-in-law. "He's complimented me saying I look the best tonight," she said. The evening came to a close with the couple settling for dinner with the rest of the family. And even when lights dimmed, the glint in the eyes of the month-old couple was hard to miss.
PS: Blame it on the gossipmongers, but it was heard that Rahul Mahajan is all set to contest elections in 2014. For now, it's best to wait and watch.
