I am not denying about Armaan's popularity in DMG1. Popularity and Lead role are two different things. Gabbar singh in Sholay, Mogambo in Mr. india and many like them, esp. Circuit in Munna Bhai became very popular and they added tremendous value to the movie but the story always revolved around the lead of the movies. Its Riddhima's story about her choices in life.😊

As for the story revolving around riddhima now... well DMG is heading down the saas-bahu route now, and every saas-bahu show has to have a self-sacrificing , always crying woman, and hence we have this new and improved riddhima..

Thanks. you said it yourself, If Riddhima was not in the lead role, they could have easily finished her character after the first RIddhima left the show, as so many other characters have left the show. This shows that her character is of the protagonist. Has there been any other actor replaced in the role like Riddhima? When Armaan left the show, he left the show, if his role was that critical they would have some other actor play his role. This discussion about the characters in the show and not the actors.

The shift from the original storyline is very obvious as you have also mentioned and the saas-bahu route you have mentioned is also valid and its heading towards a family drama, agreed. The entire show is now dependent on the decision to be made by Riddhima.😊
