I haven't posted lately. It's been about a week and a half. That's because I live in USA, and I didn't want IF to spoil the Finals for me. So that's why I just stopped coming here for the time being. It was a great experience watching the Finals without knowing who is going to win! Especially when who you wanted to win wins! Great!

But here are somethings I wanted to get across....

1. Finale

First of all, thoughts on the Final. Great Finale! Congrats to both Shaan and Shankar! Both did a great job! Both were great captains! And I and everyone should have a ton of respect for both. Fantastic singers and artists.

And biggest congrats to Shankar for winning it all!

2. The Hate on Shankar

And come on guys, stop the hate already? Especially on Shankar. I think he worked very hard to get his team the championship, and he deserved it in my opinion. Though Shaan's team was stronger, Shankar worked very hard to get his team the trophy.

And far as his breathless performance goes, I read a thread on that. I've seen him perform it live in other places as well. He actually can do it. But granted he doesn't actually stay breathless. There is a special technique called circular breathing he uses, which requires a lot of skill to perform, especially live, which is what he used. It makes it appear he is singing breathless, but he is taking breaths, but it's still very difficult to and takes a great amount of skill.

Props to Shankar, only he can sing like that. And once again, he deserved to win!

3. Best Show ever?

To me, this was the best reality TV show I've ever seen. Period. Why?

Because it had the best singers and contestants in the show. No other show had bigger "captains/judges" in the show than this one. And it had my favorite singer Himesh, and some other very big favorites, like Shreya, Shankar, and Shaan. And then it had all the best contestants over the years. I mean, with so many great captains and contestants, this was great!

Then there was all the very competitive atmosphere, the drama, which Im a big fan of, and the captains themselves performing. Just great!

That made it the best ever show for me.

4. Himesh Reshammiya

People still disrespect him. But he is a living legend. Believe me, or believe the rest of the world, but don't listen to the people on IF. They like to hate. I've seen Anushman (That's the host's name right?) call 4 captains a legend on the show. And I agree.

Now what makes Himesh a legend? Well, that's a debate for another time, but I've gathered some great arguments that will lead you to the same conclusion, Himesh is a legend. But for the time being, respect the great Himesh Reshammiya.

Jai Matadi!
Jai Hindustan!

5. All 6 captains

I really have a lot of respect for all 6 captains. Especially Shaan, Shankar, Shreya, and Himesh. I just can't stand when one of those 4 are getting hated upon. They are all so accomplished, have charming personalities, and should receive only love from their millions of fans.

The best part of MKMM for me was when I found out these 4 are going to the Semi-Finals. That was amazing. That was the biggest victory for me, because these 4 are legends for me. I think Mika and Mohit are good too, but I really love these 4.

And wish all 6 success in the future as well! Especially Shreya, Shaan, Himesh, and Shankar 😃

I almost agree with most of the portions, there is alot of hate on shanker, which shouldnt be there as it is a competition, someone wins someone losses. I too was happy to see the 4 semifinalists.
I doubt about himesh reshmmiya being a living legend though, might be as a music director he will, as a singer I am very doubtful. Earlier when he came with ashiq banaya, jhalak & all his songs, I truly loved his songs alot, not only me but whole India. His popularity in these 2 years has drastically reduced as there was overdose of his songs & plus he created a kind of bad image infront of the media due to his behaviour in reality shows. But I hope he makes a comeback in the same ashiq banaya apne style!
Anyways welcome back ssk, we missed your posts!

Thanks

I'm not talking about him being a legend as a music director or singer. I'm talking overall. Combine his music directing, with his singing accomplishments, his acting attempts, and his popularity, and you have a once in a lifetime person in Himesh Reshammiya imo. A legend.

I think his popularity has dipped because he has started to act and has done a lot less singing and music directing. But hopefully he becomes a successful actor someday too.

Hey ssk!

Tum aa gaye ho, surooooooor aa gaya hai
Nahin toh, debate-on se lau jaa rahi thi

As has become a tradition in this forum, I'll have to disagree with you on a number of points. But keeping that aside, would definitely like to join you in congratulating Shankar Mahadevan and in saying NO to hatred against anyone!

Hope to see you in Indian Idol 5 forums, Although, since you're an NRI, you might not have Sony...

Chalo anyway, aap ki khatir....
