DID 2 and DID 1 Contestants

I think following people are of same caliber dancing and overall persona:

Salman = Shakti

Aleesha = Dharmesh (I wrote this with hesitation...I think Dharmesh is like Sidhdhesh but definitely better)

Jai = Amar

Binny = Khushboo

Vrushali = Vandana (TKT)

Amrita = Bhavana (Khushboos sister)

Amrita=Vandana? Erm Khusboo's sister was Bhavna, not Vandana. 😕

I personally think Vrushali and Kruti have more in common than Vrushali and Vandana but all 3 girls have such an amazing personality. 😳
The only way in which I think salman equals shakti is that salman kept topping the voting, I suppose it's sort of similar for shakti too..but let's see. Personality wise, there is no such similarity. Both are nice people but they are very different. I don't mean this as a personal attack at all but Salman seemed more like a Mumma's boy whereas Shakti seems more independent. (I hope no-one gets offended by this, just stating what I have observed)

Alisha didn't have any drama or controversy surrounding her and her dance does not remind me of Dharmesh even one bit. Look at the performance alisha did during DID2 audition rounds..now THAT'S what I call a performance!!

I disagree with 95% of your list but you are entitled to your own opinion. :)

I would personally say:

Jai-Amar
Shakti-Alisha
Vrushali-Kruti (both were awesome dancers but somewhere down the line I always felt they both lacked a bit of self-confidence)

I can't think of anyone this season that reminds me of Mayuresh. Maybe Amar again a little bit only because they are both really cute. 😳 But Mayuresh was a trained dancer and so it's harder for me to compare with this season's dancers. But when it comes to personality and all, then Mayuresh and Punit are similar to me. 😳

Ahh I dunno why but when looking back at season 1 contestants, they all seem much better to me even though we have such awesome dancers this season. I suppose season 1 will always be special to me. 😳

For me, everyone has their own separate place! I just think some DID2 contestants remind me of DID1 contestants in many ways:

Amar = Mayuresh

Kruti = Vrushali

Shakti doesn't remind me of anyone from last year, but if I had to pick, I'd go with Alisha.

Parvez = Jai

Sajan has many similarities with Prince

The rest, I'm not so sure!

Btw, I disagree the MOST with Alisha being of the same calibre as Dharmesh in your list😛 IMO, Alisha is miles ahead of Dharmesh in terms of danicing calibre!

Salman and Shakti..umm not really either..

I wrote Aleesha = Dharmesh with some hesitation. Aleesha had quite a range but she had an excellent sense of beat as Dharmesh does....both very good hip hop dancers. I think I am being favorable to Dharmesh by saying he is of same caliber as Aleesha.

True, Alisha and Dharmesh are VERY good at hip-hop and picking up the beat, but IMO the similarities stop there. Alisha excelled at every or almost every dance she tried, was one of the MOST versatile dancers on DID1, Dharmesh has a very very long way to go before he gets to Alisha's level imo. A good start would be learning the art of facial expressions!

You're right by saying that you are being favorable to Dharmesh by saying he's of the same calibre as Alisha😛

Btw, you edited your post to say that Siddesh is also like Dharmesh, sorry, I disagree with that as well😛

I think Siddesh was also notches higher than Dharmesh in terms of both dance and overall performance.

Personally, Dharmesh isn't like anybody from last season. I think the closest he gets to anyone is maybe Prince?
