Ashaji: "Music reality shows are natak!"
Reality music shows may be the flavour of the season, and the smartest way to race ahead on the TRP ratings. But a veteran like Asha Bhonsle has interesting comments to make about these glamourised and over hyped concept shows. "I've seen very little of all this. Music directors should make contestants sing new songs that belong to their own gharana, instead of repeating songs of Lataji, Kishoreji and Rafiji. The day they sing songs that no one has sung, that day they'll be called real singers. If they hear a Rafi song over 50 times, and then sing it, obviously it will sound fairly good. I really don't understand all this. I think these music contests are a lot of natak, koi sachaai nahin hai in mein," she says.
