Jodhpur: Bollywood star Salman Khan was today found guilty under the Wildlife Protection Act on charges of killing black bucks in 1997.

However, the quantum of sentence would be pronounced later in the day by the chief judicial magistrate.

Under the provisions of the act, the actor might be sentenced to three years in prison and fined Rs 25,000.

The court, however, has acquitted actor Satish Shah and seven others, who were the co-accused in the case.

Salman was accused of killing two Chinkaras, which is an endangered species and is protected by law, at a village near Jodhpur in 1998.
