What did Terence Mean? - Page 2

Avatar came out this year... not last year. thats where he was inspired by for this act.........

I am not sure if this topic is already running or not....

Last week Terence said that he couldn't have done "Avatar" performance last season - he gave full credit for this amazing perforamnce to Shakti and Amar, but how many of you think that this performance could not have been possible last season?

I personally think that from guys Jai Kumar could have carried it off gracefully just as Amar did - about girls, I think Alisha was pretty versatile, though I got to admit that Shakti outstanding in this performance.

all the masters have made it clear that they believe the contestants this season are more talented than the ones from last season

Maybe he did get carried away by the overwhelming emotion. but I still think Shakti would have been better than Vrushali or Alisha since she is trained in this field. Moreover, she's got an amazing body for this kind of moves. I don't say Alisha or Vrushali wouldn't have done it, yes they would have excelled too after hard work, but Shakti would still be a stump higher in my opinion.

From the boys though, I think either of Mayuresh or Jai would have done it wonderfully. They are both at par with Kunwar, and since Jai and Mayuresh are trained, perhaps better even!

Who knows, who knows?

Terrence made that same comment couple of times in that episode. To me it sounded like he wasn't too happy with the contestants he had last year. I mean why would he keep saying that again and again? Geeta and Remo didn't say that. I think Terrence believes that his DID 2 contestants are way better then his DID 1 contestants. I frankly don't agree. Jai is better then any male dancer on Terrence's team this year. But as a mentor i guess he would know more about his contestants then I. But it was pretty strange for him to say that repeatedly on that episode.😕

I dont think he meant he couldnt have done it last season because the movie wasnt released last season 😆

He was talking in terms of dancing...and i have to sorta agree with him.


I have no doubt in my mind that the contestants could have done the performance last year...BUT, would it have been up to the level as Amar-Shakti? Even if it was, would it be as good?

Shakti is super flexible + she is really tall which adds to the dance. Remember when Geeta was saying that Shakti's structure is really good? She's tall & flexible which is why she can move the way she did in the Avatar performance. I really cant picture Alisha doing what Shakti did.

Vrushali on the other hand, she'll be close in terms of expressions but her movements cant match up to Shakti cause well, both are different!

Imagine either Vrushali or Alisha doing the animal crawl-walk that Shakti did (the one Remo asked her to do again). I just cant picture it.

I absolutely LOVE Jai, but i dont think he would have done the performance like Amar did. Mayuresh though, could possibly have done great!

Why make Terence look like something that he isnt... I think what he had meant is about the makeup and the avatar character looks - of course he couldnt have done it last season!! I dont think he meant the act.. But in my POV, I dont think Alisha could have done the Kalari the same way Shakti did - it's not easy as it seems! Maybe Vrushali could have.. Among the boys, Mayuresh would have done it like Amar for sure!! Maybe he might have meant that the boy and the girl who could have done a Kalari act were eliminated so early in the show!!
