If Rafi saab is alive today between us, I think we owe a lot to Sonu Nigam for that. One can imagine the respect he has for Rafi saab by the fact that when you enter Sonu Nigam's house and the first thing you will notice is a big picture of Rafi Saab and Lata ji hung on wall.

According to Sonu Nigam he considers this particular song as the most romantic number he has ever heard.

But believe it or not I first heard this song neither in Rafi Saab's voice nor in Sonu Nigam's voice. I heard it first in Amey Date's voice. I became an instant fan of this song.
