Karisma Kapoor names her son Kiaan

But what does it mean?

Proud mama Karisma Kapoor has named her newborn son Kiaan Raj Kapoor.

According to Karisma's younger sister Kareena Kapoor, Kiaan is an American Hebrew name. It means 'grace of God'.

An elated Kareena, who's taken a weeklong break from her work to be with her newborn nephew, goes on to add that Karisma chose the baby's name. Karisma's hubby Sanjay Kapur had named their first child Samaira, who is now a five-year-old girl. So Karisma got to name their second child. Not coincidentally, the initials of the two kids match their parents'.

The baby was born on Friday at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. Both the Kapoors and Kapurs are elated with the new entrant in the family.

Nice name but what exactly is American hebrew?

I didnt know of an american dialect of Hebrew

The only American Hebew thing that exists is the journal by the same name. Kapoor sisters have never been known for their brains though so what can you expect. Does she mean American name or Hebrew name?

Sometimes I wish stars would give a nice name to their babie(s) rather than something that sounds fashionable(acc. to them) and it ends up sounding not so good. Samaira is nice....but Kiaan? Hope the boy likes it wen he grows up.

I guess Kian is still better than naming your kids apple, pilot, audio science and what not. yea you paltrow, jason lee and shannon sossamon. WTF?! Those kids are scarred for life.

karishma names her son Kiaan Raj Kapoor kiaan is because karishma name start with k . Raj is karisma kapoor grrandfather name and kapoor is her husband last name . as this is her last child she wanted to give him name of her grandfather as well as first k of her name
