Kuljeet Randhawa

Bhanu Uday (29), the boyfriend of TV actress Kuljeet Randhawa, who committed suicide on Wednesday, sent her an SMS hours before she killed herself in her Juhu Church Road flat.

According to the police, Uday sent the SMS around 5 pm. It read, "Love, I am leaving. Will be back in a couple of days. Take care of yourself." The police are trying to track down Bhanu, who has been missing ever since.

Spoke after SMS

"Bhanu and Kuljeet spoke after the SMS, but what the conversation was about is still a mystery. We are trying to contact him through Tina, Kuljeet's close friend," said the investigating officer.

A close friend of the actor said, "Bhanu is not the type of person to run away. He must have had a good reason to leave the city. His mobile phone has been switched off as he is not very media savvy and does not want publicity."

Kuljeet's father K Randhawa, a former deputy inspector general, has met top police officers and decided not to lodge a complaint against Bhanu, as Kuljeet's suicide note does not blame anyone.

Vital statement

"We want to find out what exactly went on between the two, and whether it led to Kuljeet's suicide. Even though there is no complaint against Bhanu, his statement is vital. He will not be punished," said a senior police officer.

Actor 'in shock'

A friend, who claimed to have spoken to Bhanu a few hours after the incident, said "He was in shock after he got a call from Kuljeet's friends. He is a calm and reserved person, and cannot express his feelings in public. This could be why he has gone into hiding. After a few days, he will surely come out with his version."

Foul mood

Kuljeet has been in bad shape in the days before her death. "Her shooting for Kohinoor was held up, her film project stopped in the middle, and even a fashion show in which she was supposed to take part got cancelled. She was in a foul mood and had arguments with Bhanu. She was even suffering from an acute back pain," said another friend.

Kuljeet's maid Chanda Kedu, who spoke to her mother in Delhi a day before the incident, said, "Mataji asked me to take care of didi, as her back pain was unbearable. I overheard didi saying, 'Ma, I can't take this pain anymore.

I feel like ending it here. Kuch bhi karo, aap jaldi aa jao'."

yeah really. im really sorry for bhanu. he must be facing a lot of pain n trauma. but where is he? he has not come back to mumbai n recorded his statement with the police. who is he escaping from? he should have been here long back. its been 6 days today but there is no trace of his as of now. i hope he is fine and he has not lost hope in life. i hope comes back to mumbai and completes the formalities with the police. i sincerely hope all this does not affect his career. for sure kuljeet also wanted him to be happy always. may kuljeet's love and our support be with him forever!

just look at his sms.even that shows his love 4 her.y did she do it? he had even said 'take care of urself'.
y did she do this.
hope bhanu is fine.thr's no news abt him.the only thing thts out is he s n jammu.
