Associated Press reports say the film would be the first English language movie by Wong Kar-wai who is highly respected in the world of art-house movies because of his award winning films 'Happy Together' and 'In The Mood For Love'.
Earlier online reports had it that Wong Kar-wai's English movie would be based on Hurricane Katrina that struck New Orleans last year.
But Associated Press report quotes an anonymous source as refuting that the movie is based on the hurricane disaster.
Reports also have it that Wong has put on the backburner his movie 'Lady From Shanghai' starring Nicole Kidman. The director has postponed the project till 2007 and will shoot the movie starring Norah Jones first.
Twenty-six-year-old Norah Jones is jazz-pop singer. Her very first album, 'Come Away With Me', won eight Grammys.
