OK guys, how many of you watch 12/24 Karol Bagh? I started out very interested in its nice middle class ethos, so in spite of the fact that it's degenerated into Bollywood car chases and dhishum-dhishum dust-ups, I still keep an eye on it once in a while. So the lead couple - 22 year old Abhi and 30 year old Simi are married and living in this low-cost but rather romantic room (with a moon that's always streaming light in on them at night) behind a dhaba. When an older woman and a younger guy marry, you think, aah..... And yet, no real action; they hold hands and look soppily at each other, and Abhi tells Simi (as they are lying undisturbed in bed, believe it or not) to close her eyes and sleep and see happy dreams. ????? Zee TV clearly believes in immaculate conception, and as viewers we had better follow suit.

😆 This happens in seemingly every Zee show except currently Agle Janam, in which Laali and Shekhar got into action on their wedding night itself.
As you mentioned, in Karol Bagh we have a 22 year old guy telling his wife to have happy dreams and Simi the 30 year old is doing just that, even though she lives alone with her (really quite cute) husband. Then in Choti Bahu we have Dev and Radhika who seem to have been married forever and even went on a honeymoon, but still nothing. Then, of course, Manav and Archana, who would have probably done their "what-not" back in September but have been delayed indefinitely.
As for the actual topic, I agree with the "less is more" theory. The more romantic or intimate Archana and Manav would have been, the less significance their eye-locks, shy smiles, and washing dishes together would hold.

well did you guys watch Kumkum? before the 1st leap...there were tons and tons of very romantic scenes between the lead, Sumit and Kumkum...and even after the leap, even with grown kids they were shown as a very romantic couple.....and in all this they did not lose their charm and appeal....

It doesn't have hardly any romantic scenes because the main couple, ArMan, is always miserable 😭

It does make me appreciate when we do get those ArMan moments when they gaze at each other too long or the hug when Damo baba is found alive or the holi moment. Small crumbs the creatives give us now and then if we are lucky...but don't satisfy for long.

Since Archana or Manav won't act on their feelings, they should give us episode where they are just dreaming about being together. Wouldn't that be nice?
