Hello people!

I hardly make posts ---- had the time today after a long while. I ventured thru few MJHT recent articles and views, paying close attention to the one dealing with ending of this recent track. I am simply stating my opinion. There is nothing against any maker, show, actor, reader or a member.

Honestly speaking I truly loved and liked the recent tracks in MJHT, surrounded by reality. After Ahemdabad trip the most interesting and intriguing tracks for me were the sis-sis jealously and this politician one. Compared to any tracks in MJHT these two were far more superior and outstanding according to me. I thought both of these tracks ended abruptly and in a haste. I personally would have liked both of these tracks to develop the storyline that does not really exist in MJHT according to me. These tracks I thought had the potential to bring out the maturity in characters like Nupur and Samrat the carefree ones and sensibility of planners like Mayank and Gunjan when in turmoil. I saw some of these traits in the hurried plot, but it would have been effective if shown wholly. It seems from one of the MJHT article that many viewers objected these tracks and this was the prime reason these tracks were ended. I am not complaining .The tracks have ended so I am just waiting for upcoming events like holi in MJHT. I am just curious.

Did the sis-sis jealously and politician scenario, which exist in our society for real, not interest viewers? I mean I could have seen acting skills of these four actors reach heights if they had enacted more scenes pertaining to the above mentioned tracks. I wonder what exactly a viewer wants to watch? In my case I would like to watch reality and issues that exist around me and the way these situations are handled by characters I like on television and my favorite actors, the scenes than just happen. So what does a viewer want to watch? A story? An actor? A character? A song? A couple? A momentary scene of a fight, romance, or a simple conversation? What will be the reason behind watching a show for a viewer? I would love to read your way of watching. I may not reply immediately but will so next time I login. Please do discuss. I hope my train of thought made sense. Love, Sania.

Hey sania, long time later we meet...its great to see you making a post.

Ok the sister jealousy track was extremely interesting to watch and I simply Loved it. I was not in the side of any character though I am a die hard Nupur fan. I tried to grasp the insecurities of both Nupur and Gunjan and felt they were justfied to an extent though the way the track was executed was riddled with faults and the end was super abrupt.I didnt understand how a character like Nuppur say its OK that the father did not understand her and then forget about it. Only the way she stood up for Gunjan was a saver.

Now coming to the eve teasing social issue track, I was very apprehensive about it. The early marriage of MN was also a social message track...but when did they actually show the ordeals of a young couple? Where was the problems that such couples face? They were just shown doing some random scenes...
The eve teasing track had a huge potential. if they had done it well they could have shown the development of characters in a beautiful manner. Gunjan could have been shown getting bolder, Nupur more aware and practical, Samrat more responsible and Mayank prouder of his wife. But No.....This track failed very badly. I am even more stressed out with this track than am with locket track which i had hated the most.. They made a complete mockery of such a beautiful track and of our emotions.

My expectations from MJHT has always been varying and so is my interest. But i get compelled to watch it mainly for Mayank and Nupur especially Nuppur. Characters like CJ, the tomboy and Shilpa aunty the confident single mother were also endearing. In one word I loved the way MJHT projected different female characters which really attracted me....Even Dia, the modern gril who is smart and bold yet sensitive. Just because she wears revealing clothes she wasnt projected as a characterless girl sans morals...

And yes ofcourse I like the interaction of Mayur..the extra ordinary couple in an ordinary situation. Their fights, their problems looked so real and the way they stand up to it gave me hope sometimes. i started drawing strength from Nupur and Mayank who put up a happy face even though they faced so many problems. Nd By god who can forget their love, simple and yet so sweet. It had such an endearing quality to it.

Even after qutting MJHt time and again I have come back to watch it for all the reasons mentioned above.

Hope i have made sense and hope the Cvs read this and make some sense out of it.. I am rather depressed with this show now.

Thanx

Hi Sania, I loved your post - because it echoed what I felt.

I actually did enjoy the sister track and the eve teasing track - because for me I felt they were v.much grounded in reality. Sisters often butt heads for hundreds of reasons and make up usually pretty fast - it is something that anyone with a sibling could identify with. Eveteasing is such a huge problem in India - that I thought any one going to college would immediately feel that this was an important issue and needed to be aired. As far as politics is concerned, it is a major force in college elections - all parties have a presence in colleges - so college is fun and masti - but it is also a lot of other things too!! I saw a lot of posts for the track and some against!! But I guess the against ones must have been more - because the CVs seemed to have had a near panic attack!!

Both tracks ended so fast - because it seems once the CVs have decided on a new track - they have no patience with the old one - and put randome scenes together. That's most probably what happened today - the fact that Nupur brought JD's and YD's misdeeds to light - the CVs wanted to show the end of the track by the group rejoicing - and that's what they did - never mind how ridiculous it looked - husband, sister, cousins and friends rejoicing when their loved one is being slapped and can hardly walk. No righteous anger and stressed out husband - because that would mean an extension of the track - which CVs did not want!!

From an actors perspective, I felt that all the actors would have loved the tracks too - since it gave them a chance to shine as actors! To maybe do something which could get them an award later - hard to get awards and show one's mettle as an actor when only light scenes are needed.

I watch MJHT for so many reasons - primarily the MayUr relationship. I hope the CVs maintain that well - otherwise I think I'll have that gradual weaning process from the show! I love the relationships they focus on - the sisters, friends, cousins, etc. All the characters have different strengths - and those strengths have by and large been preserved - the characters maintained and grown over time - a maturity coming in all characters. Despite the editing fiascos, the CVs have by and large done a reasonable job. Though sometimes I think they need some good editors because often they spoil some real good epis with their bad editng eg. the marriage one.

Well, all we can do is look forward to the next track and hope it gets a better ending then it's predecessors!!

Only the way she stood up for Gunjan was a saver. I felt the same, though I love Nupur, but I watched this track thru a girl's point of view. Nups stood rite in her way and so did Gunjan. I would have liked to see a in depth trace out of this matter instead of just a mere touch of the subject matter. Actually I expected Nupur to say okay but via making her father feel guilty. I mean what was up with double standards setup by her father for his two daughters. There was more to the track but like u said it ended abruptly. I wanted to see more of it........! LOL. Oh well...

Now coming to the eve teasing social issue track, I was very apprehensive about it. The early marriage of MN was also a social message track...but when did they actually show the ordeals of a young couple? Where was the problems that such couples face? They were just shown doing some random scenes....All I have seen in MJHT from December of 2008 onvwards are random scenes. Where is the story? I just imagine the story. I would love to see a story. Eve teasing had the most potential I actually liked it from the start but it ended. The marriage is still developing but where are the scenes pertaining to it? In lala land???

They made a complete mockery of such a beautiful track and of our emotions. .If only .... *sighs* though I am not stressed about this track because the actors made it work.

My expectations from MJHT has always been varying and so is my interest. But i get compelled to watch it mainly for Mayank and Nupur especially Nuppur. Even after qutting MJHt time and again I have come back to watch it for all the reasons mentioned above. .An addict stays an addict. LOL. So there are quite of few reasons as to y you watch the show. Story being one of them. MJHT lacks that according to me so I guess other reasons like fav actor and random scenes portrayed by the actors saves a show like MJHT.

Hope i have made sense and hope the Cvs read this and make some sense out of it.. I am rather depressed with this show now. .My mantra is to Chill and Watch --- everything you said made perfect sense to me. Thanks for posting. Gotta run. Will catch u around.

Thanx

It seemed she was disheartened that the track was ending.
