First time a newbie has written something very sensible. Newbies usually start with 20 posts with oneliners. Difference of opinion doesnt matter, a few points here and there is good, otherwise all the posts would be xerox copies.
Good job...keep on writing.

I think the basic objective of SRGM is (was) giving 'singing talent' not wining a seat with votes. The singers are already outstered by the curse of diplomatic voting strategy. Do you really know who votes? A teenager who doesn't know who many ragas are there in the music, who hardly know what is after SaReGaMaPa "...", but he is blessed by his parent to watch the Zee entertainment. His undeveloped brain abviousely love his likeminded subjects and issues brought in the show rather than the songs. Such baccha party is also gifted with the status symbol gadgets in their hands, so they feel authorize to vote *** to 757 –just for fun. For many it's 'fun'. They are innocent they don't know consequence. The cumulative numbers flood of their sms in effect may harms someone genuine contenstant. Even grown brains go on with affection, language, sympathy, …the list is censored, and justify our rights by voting to so-called favorite candidate to teach a lesson to disliked candidate and his/her gharana. The real marking never reaches to the real singer what is anticipates. Someone excites with avalanche steep and someone disappoints seeing a trgic deep in his voting. I worry by accepting this we may unnotice the real ones. It may happen that someone acidently gets through the top and we try to benchmark our singing standard on that individual. Then we voters will be responsible for downgrading the standard of Indian music. Of course we can't revert back as we cannot bring the those 9 golden voices back. Though back in the the History, but still we waken up listening to them. If we can protect our music value, then why insult the music? Be mature when one is to vote. Be careful when once is to tell to vote, be reasobable when we vote. Ofcourse in this case a sensible blessed with the voting power should respect its value. May of we feel the public voting system raised lots of unwanted issues. True, as long as it is not followed for right intention.

I think we Indians just need a fingertip to move our head in that direction. Do you know who dragged the issue of languages, geo-locations, and regionalism in the show? Not the kids. Along the journey of the clean show some personal objectives played important roles and we are compromising our frustration with entertainment and hence these forums too.

Even politicians think twice before debating on zonal issues, atleast they follow right rules of definitions of dividing states and the country. When we lose control no one can stop it. We have already experienced how we ourselves withness the division of preIndependence India now into more than 2 parts, and more than 2hp power of anger. It was never set to cool down.

Such things happen when media gets free to conduct and demonstrate w/o any barrier from legislative administration, forget about the guidelines, those are intact and are followed!

Now, least remained intentested to witness the winning from long time balanced SRGM. Many curious knowing went in fate of rest of them (singers). Few unveil their feelings on forum like this one and none bother to see what is singing. But plenty are still enjoying the ENTERTAINMENT. I think that is what the objective of any Media is. Sorry, I was trying to misguide you!

May god bless Indian musical stride.

I do not know why everybody is saying people from south do not watch SRGMP, Can somebody answer me how can vote from south counted as 20 lakhs from 4 states(AP main, Karnataka little bit, almost negligible from TN and Kerala) in comparison of North's 25 lakhs which comprises 8 states with people speaking Hindi. Total difference of vote is just 5 lakhs.

I think this south viewership issue should be died by now, because it is utterly illogical. Otherwise I will suspect about the 20 lakhs votes in favor of Hema.

This issue is not as simple as you think. You cannot just take one episode and generalize. You yourself have acknowledged that TN, Kerala and Karnataka are minimal. AP voted because of the awareness created by his parents/media.

Almost every expert has conceded that Hema is the superior singer to Vinit. So, therefore, if he had more support in the South, he could have won by a thumping majority.

Great ideas. You echoed my thoughts. When people support one person exclusively to the other and comment that some of them should not have been in the final twelve, they are forgetting that these people have been judged and came here thro' legitimate means. I also felt that abhijeet was good. Hence, there are some people, wont mention names that are absolutely prejudiced they come out looking silly.

Most of these kids are talented and gutsy and let us encourage them without prejudice and judge them by how they came across on that particular day. But we all have good and bad days.
