Wow...today's episode had some heavy duty acting going on....myy goddd....the women bringing on the water works...and everything....BUT..but but...the Oscar for the best acting today (imo) goes tooooo....Rahul Mahajan....šŸ‘...
First off, the death of a parent is a very traumatic event in almost everyone's life...even it is due to natural causes, in their old age, let alone due to an accident/injury and when they aren't that old....so even if my friend is describing her father's death due to a heart attack, it's bound to be an emotional story.....So i can certainly understand the death of his middle aged father in a traumatic incident must have left an indelible mark on his mind...and certainly understand that the story is moving.....
What i don't understand, is that why does he have to make a spectacle of it for his viewers EVERYTIME he is on a show?????? šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼ Even the dialogues like.." Ek maa ko batana ki uska beta ab nahi hai, ya ek biwi ko bata ki uska pati nahi hai, ya ek beti ko batana", etc, this and such other dialouges, were used verbatim in bigg boss 2...I mean comeon, why do u want to dramatize it????? In any family it is always hard to break to the loved ones the news of one of their own passing, what was different in this case???? I despise RM for making his father;s death a means to get attention and make it into a big production....yuckk 🤢...I mean many other people have gone through some similar stuff in their life, but RM is the only sleaze i've ever seen, who went out and tried to cash in on it....Rahul gandhi's father, was killed in a deadly and horrific bomb blast, when rahul gandhi was much younger to RM at time of pramod mahajan's demise, Have we ever seen Rahul gandhi discuss at lenght the emotional repercussions of his father's horrific death???? I mean rajiv gandhi's body was infact blown up in a million pieces and they didn't even have a full body to show for his last rights.....that must have devastating i'm sure....but no one other than our own RM, has decided to cash in on his family's tragedy...disgustinggg...🤢
On a side not, did anyone notice, that while dimpy and harpreet were competing for the most water works title, Nikunj had hugeee trouble even showing any emotion on her face, so much for compassion...šŸ˜‰
Also, one more thing i wanted to point out was, when rahul talked about his childhood and how they didn't have much money, etc...it's seems interesting to me, that he is open about his life in a choosy fashion, till this date after watching him on 2 reality shows, i couldn't tell you what he actually does for a living...something about a production company, but no details, but what he wants to reveal, he will go into great details into....interesting...I mean, ok he had a tough early childhood, but later on his father was a bigtime poilitician, ex-minister etc...i mean we all know what that means in monetary terms in our country, infact the reason pramod mahajan was shot was partly money as well...so who is RM kidding????

Oh man! I wanted to make this topic but you beat me to it lol. But you're muchh better at expressing your thoughts because you always do it in such an insightful way. šŸ‘

I would like to give the oscars to Dimpy! Even before he started his dad's story or any other sad story...she had tears in her eyes. How is that possible? She was getting ready to cry even before he started the sad story! I was like omg!

Nikunj looked completelyyy bored. It was not even funny how bored she looked. I understand she's reserved..her face expressions make her look arrogant..but does she have NO emotions??? The guy she want to marry is speaking of the hardest times of his life..and she's sitting there like 🄱. Then at the end, when she realized that the other two were crying, she had to hide her face to act like she's all sad now. Seriously, we all know you weren't sad or even close to crying for that matter. Then she was "speechless" please.

As for harpreet, she started crying hearing the dad's thing and I guess it's convincing because she can relate to it due to her father's death.

well firstoff thanks a ton for such a sweet comment...😳😳..I too look forward to reading your comments on most threads...😊..
@ red...Ahhhh...i was going back on forth between RM and dimpy for the oscar, for the exact reason u mentioned, it's almost like as soon as ram finished his question, she was getting ready to cry....šŸ˜†
But is till gave her the runner-up, beacuse of RM's shameless exploitation of a sad family situation.....🤢
I do agree about harpreet to some extent, but i felt that she was also kinda trying to compete with dimpy somewhere...

Everytime I read your posts I am nodding because I am having the same exact thoughts, truly well said. Well sure celebrities share personal experiences that are traumatic for instance Shah Rukh Khan about losing his parents especially his mum but he never makes it seem so melodramatic. And I have never seen the Gandhi family (wife or children) go on about their loved ones. Its not just RM most of the participants have narrated their dukh bhari kisse for maybe sympathy from RM and viewers, except Dimpy and Nikunj.
About Nikunj not being able to emote or cry (she did cry for a bit but I think she had to work at it), I can completely understand her dilemma because I for one cannot cry in public no matter how emotional the situation. I mean I would cry if I am watching some touching documentary if I am alone but not around other people. Some people just cannot show certain emotions in public no matter what the situation. You can fight, get angry, romance but crying or grieving can be very personal for some people.

Awww..thanks for the compliment...that's 2 in a row, i'm on a roll....😳
I agree with your point that famous people do talk about emotional incidences of their life, as in the case of shahrukh for example....but, where RM differs from them, is that for other celebrities, their tragedies are not their claim to fame....in case of RM, all he ever talks about is his father's death, or atleast keeps alluding to it, by saying that i have seen a lot of ups and downs in life, or saying i've had to struggle a lot in life, or like today he said a gem, that " it was like time was being raped, in my life( samay ka balatkar)"...lol, whatever that means šŸ˜†.....agreed that, it was a huge tragedy, but stop milking it for every penny...that's gross....when his father was alive, noone even had heard of rahul mahajan, then his father passes away, and boom, he finds a way to get fame and money from it....that's what is disgusting....if he would just mention it in a personal interview say, and he had done something in life to be successful, I would feel differently...but he sadly has manipulated the sad family tragedy to his benefit....
About Nikunj, i agree, that crying in public, or even in front of anyone for that matter, can be difficult for some, I myself, am more of a stoic person, and don't cry very easily.....BUT...nikunj had NO emotions on her face, it was blank, like she was being forcibly made to sit and listen to his story.....that's wierd....my hubby is my best friend in the whole world, and if he;s sharing something ( or even if he was sharing when we were dating) intimate or sensitive, i would atleast be visibly moved by it, and it would reflect on my face, naturally.
Nikunj, just seemed stone faced throughout, till she realized that the other girls were balling their eyes out, and so she put her head down, to conceal, her lack of emotions, so she didn;t come across as a complete stone...that's just imo...you may feel differently, but i cannot believe, that someone who you are so close to, says something moving, and you do not get affected at all....it's just a lil wierd to me ...

I concur! This is exactly what I mentioned in the BB2 section... each and every point that I quote here; and was flamed by his fans.
During the BB2 days, he would crib and complain about this for the episode to be telecast on the day before the voting lines closed. He would gather all the others around him and start with the silly spiel... week-after-week... and people would feel sorry. For the love of God, the guy was discovered on the brink of death due to a drug OD just days after his father died... and he can still shamelessly saunter anywhere tell his sob story. 🤢

His father was no pavitra aatma himself... I was in school when we saw the news telecast one day with the wife of an IPS officer loudly suggesting that Mahajan Sr. got a journalist killed. (Perhaps that was a false charge, but news reports suggested that Mahajan Sr. was close to that girl.)
Another rumour about the reason why he got killed was that he was having an affair with his brother's wife... which was why the brother shot him dead... So, if it is up to me, I'll not even spare a thought for any bereavement that this family suffers...

I know many people who told mothers/wives that their sons/husbands are dead... and have lived emtionally healthy lives. Why does Mahajun* use his family history to justify his misdeeds?

Regarding his father, i'm from mumbai, where his father was quite well-known, and i can say that his father for the most part was considered the young face of BJP...(since most of the others were extremely old men), he had a dynamic personality....but yes i agree that he was not free of faults....he was a true politician, and like most of them, he certainly carried on his own share of underhanded activities, and i think he was murdered by his younger brother for monetary reasons,....but all that's immaterial coz he's no more now, what is relevant, is RM invoking his name at every oppurtunity, as if he was the biggest saint of all time...🤢🤢

I somehow think that RM was not faking his father's tragedy. The way he said those words about "ek ma ko batana ki uska beta nahi rahega...."no matter sounds dramatic but IT is indeed one of the toughest things to do. Seeing your parents or loved one;s death from close quarters and seeing them breath their last in front of your own eyes is a terrible experience and heart wrenching. On many occassions, Rahul was choking while speaking.

No matter what a sullied reputation he has, and how much ever wild he has been. I still think his feelings towards his dad was/has been genuine.

I havent watched any of his previous shows to base my opinion on. But I am merely saying what I saw today.

Holic ji... It is good to not talk ill about the dead... so I'll just let the matter with Mahajan Sr. be...

Mahajun* invokes his tragedy, because he still hasn't anything going in his life, and except for the sympathy wave, he can't cash-in on anything...
And, I think, it still works--- The janta is willing to listen to that trash--- When he finished BB, he said that he doesn't seek a career in politics and is aiming for show business instead... I was relieved. Iske jaise agar political weight wield karne lage, toh bhagwaan bachaye Bharat ko...
But disturbingly... in the swayamvar, he seems to have revised his priorities and decided that he could be in politics too... that is terrible, if you ask me... The janta will vote him to the parliament and then we'll be able to hear his sob-story on the Lok Sabha channel...
