Ammo wakes up in the morning to find she is alone in her room. She calls out for Ichha, who is nowhere to be found. Calling out her name, she searches for her in all the different rooms in the house, including the living room and kitchen. Until, she recalls the threat Ichha made her last night of leaving the Thakur residence and making a life of her own away from all of them.
Frantically, Ammo calls out to Thakur sahib and tells him about Ichha's leaving. Thakur sahib and his wife are aghast on hearing the news and immediately call out to all the servants asking about Ichha. Thakur Sahib and Ammo leave to search for Ichha, and Thakur Sahib asks Divya and Tapu to call all of Ichha's friends.
Ichha is shown sitting on the footsteps (can't tell whether a house or mandir). On the top of the stairs some kids are shown playing ball. Ichha is engrossed in a series of thoughts. She recalls her conversation of last night with Ammo, where Ammo is vehemently denying her request to marry an addict; Nani's pleas to her to marry Vansh as a last resort to save Tapu's marriage; Thakur sahib's refusal to accept Vansh's proposal; Tapu begging Ichha to accept Veer for the sake of their friendship, which she does not want to lose, even at the cost of separation from her Veer. Ichha's chain of thoughts is abruptly broken when she gets hit by the ball. As one of the kid approaches her to collect the ball, he falls and starts to cry. Ichha lovingly helps him up and playfully cheers him up. As she sees the kid run off to play, she recalls the sweet memories of herself as a child playing, and having, fun with Tapu. The memories bring tears to her eyes.
Tapu and Divya are calling Ichha's friends. Nani interjects and asks Divya why there is the big resistance to accepting Vansh's proposal, especially, when the "chuhiya" herself is keen on the rishta. Divya snubs Nani on her insensitive remark. Tapu consoles Divya, and slyly looks towards Nani, as if asking her, what's next? In the car, Thakur sahib expresses is regret for not trying to ask Ichha what she wanted. Damini replies that Vansh is not Ichha's desire, only her "zid". Damini tells Thakur sahib to head towards their old basti, as she has a feeling Ichha might be there.
Next, Tapu is shown worried in her room asking herself, where could Ichha be? Why had Ichha not had the good sense to at least let her in on her plan? Whom could they call when Ichha had only ONE friend, herself? Tapu suddenly recalls that today Veer is also to return, and that it is imperative that Ichha-Vansh rishta be fixed before his arrival for her plans to be successful.
In the basti, Ichha is aimlessly walking and recalling what Ammo said to her last night, over and over again. She sits on some steps, and sees a mother telling her child to do well in school so she does not have to live on anyone's uttaran. Ichha remembers herself as a kid asking Ammo what is uttaran and whether she would she have to live on Tapu's uttaran all her life? She recalls how her Ammo and Thakur Sahib together nurtured her to achieve her dreams of making something of her life; sending her to school, and how Thakur sahib use to tutor her in her English lessons.
Searching, Damini and Thakur sahib finally see Ichha on the steps. Ammo tells Ichha to forget everything and return home with them. Ichha apologizes for her behavior but says she needs to explain the reasons behind her action in order for them to realize that this is no "zid" on her part. Ichha tells them that walking in her basti today, she realized that as one of the basti kids, she too had no future; she was a nobody, who only had lots of dreams and aspirations. She says that had it not been for the hand of encouragement and support extended to her by Thakur sahib, who against all odds stood by her, she would never have accomplished her dreams and made something of her life. She says through his actions she has learnt that love and support conquers all, and now she wants to emulate Thakur sahib, and give back to Vansh what she received from him, and get a chance to make a difference in someone's life. Thakur Sahib tells Ichha that he values her sentiments, but she is talking about marriage, and asks her what ideal she held for her life partner? Ichha replies that she has always aspired for a marital relationship like Thakur sahib and his wife, where both have found a deep and lasting love, nurtured by the trials and tribulations of life. Thakur sahib reminds her that she can love no other, like Veer. Ichha replies that she wants to break away from her past and hopes that Thakur sahib will want the same for her.
Continuing, Ichha says the day Tapu married Veer, her feelings towards Veer changed. She says what can she do if her heart never yearns for Veer? Damini interjects and tells Ichha if she does not want to marry Veer, thats fine, but Vansh? Ichha replies, why not Vansh? She says what guarantee is there that if she marries a strong person he may later not breakdown in life? She adds if we only look at the worst, then no good will ever happen. She confidently tells Thakur sahib that she wants to accept Vansh with the same "vishwas" that Thakur sahib bestowed on her all those years back. Damini and Thakur sahib are looking at her with amazement and sympathy, as the episode ends.
Precap: Vansh is sitting on the dining table with his parents. He tells his Mai, it is but obvious that Ichha's parents will not trust an addict. He tells them he will ask Lalla to speak on his behalf, after all Veer is their son-in-law and they will pay heed to his opinion. A shocked Mai looks at her husband and father- in-law.
