I have trouble seeing her point at all. She's funny but annoying as she tells Naku not to dream.Every person out there deserves a ray of hope. Then her Mom feeds her lies about one day she'll meet her prince (Technically we all know she's found her Dark prince😉 Datta) and Naku shrugs it off. Its almost like her Mom has caused Naku a lot of emotional and mental damage

i knw she smothers her 2 much tries 2 wrap her up in cotton wool naku is old enough 2 make her own decisions

yeah she's over protective. im sure when datta actually falls for naku even then her mom wont believe it. later on she will have a problem with his work as its too dangerous and there is no turning back from it.
but then i was wondering how long will she hide her daughter's beauty? will naku ever get anyone (let alone a "prince" like datta) if she keeps looking like that? isnt she being unfair to naku that way. by now babi should have realized that if naku is safe anywhere then its in the patil mansion under datta's protective. or does she think even he will try to use naku if he sees the real her?

After what has happened to her older child, her smothering as a mother is completely understandable. As a mother she wants to protect Naku since she knows More is still out there. So I don't think she is a looney. She talks about Naku's prince charming from the context that he will be the guy who will fall in love with the way she is right now and not when her real beauty is revealed. And Dutta is that guy. The prince charming who will love her for the way she is but when the beauty is revealed will still be there to protect her. That's my interpretation.

that might be her fear becoz according to her all men want beautiful girls. Also the status difference will not allow her to believe that Dutta can actually fall in love with her daughter. According to her just because he has helped them does not mean he will not use her..

i think babi is a women who has seen what the world is like and when she tells naku not to dream - she is being realistic. we know that in this serial dutta is going to fall in love with naku - dont know if it will be before or after he see her true self. but anyway, if we look at naku and dutta and their situation then she is dreaming... whilst i understand why naku fancies dutta, i think her mum is just trying to help naku in the long run.

also i think the status differences make babi more sure that nothing will happen.

but i do agree that she has damaged naku a little bit at least by what she did to her appearance.

hmmm...i guess he or someone else like baji/sudarshan/kishore. but really if any guy can protect her from leches i feel datta is the best bet. he's powerful enuf that no one would dare to look at his wife/gf/fiancee. even if someone mistakenly does he'll bash up the guy. or maybe even kill him...he's hot headed enuf plus he doenst work within the confines of the law. but ofcourse babi doesnt know that.

Smetimes the truth will set you free. Basically its rediculous to think that Naku's Mom will be able to hide her beauty forever. The truth always has a way of coming out. Smothering Naku will do no good she needs to know there are certain things in life that are dangerous. She won't learn anything then. Realistic or not Hope should never be killed its what everyone strives for in life otherwise there would be lifless people out there. As for making her own decisions Naku seems to lack a little self esteem thanks to the taunts she gets from many people and relies a lot on what others tell her to do so no she can't make crucial decisions. Datta is the only guy that looks at whats inside the heart than outside beauty.

coming to making her own decisions i guess naku has been acting a little more on her own. atleast as far as datta is concerned. she knows her boundaries and knows its a lost cause but that hasnt stopped her from trying to be a little close to him.

I don't think Babi would plan to keep Naku's real beauty hidden forever. I think the reason she does not want it revealed becoz she does not trust men period with regards to her daughter. She is waiting for a person to come in Naku's life who will love and respect her for the way she is. Once she finds that person I think she would be the first one to reveal her daughter's beauty.

And as far as taking crucial decisions I don't think Naku lacks at it. Atleast I have not observed it. She is pretty firm when it comes to her feelings for Dutta. Like Shreya said even though she knows its a lost cause she still wants to be close to him. Infact I would say she goes overboard with her emotions and her dreams where he is concerned. So Babi bringing her back to her senses is not wrong. She knows her daughter is heading for a deadly heartbreak. So just trying to protect her. That's all.
