And I think all this hate and insulting is unwarranted. There is no reason to lose respect for Shankar after this. Or Shreya. Or anyone for that matter. All the judges have their own point of view and we should respect each of their POVs. S
1. I don't necessarily disagree with Shankar either. I've watched other shows where the singer or dancer forgets something, but if they keep going, and don't start collapsing, then they don't get graded too harshly, and sometimes it works for the better. Not saying it was in this case, but Shankar does have a respectable POV as well. And he wants his team to win, it's a competition, so it's okay if he takes steps such as singing against a normal singer in order for his team to win. You guys are forgetting, this is a competition.
2. I don't disagree with Shreya either. She's right, duets sometimes one person sings 2 lines, and it's still considered a duet. She was being quite polite with Shaan, while Shaan I think was talking to her rudely. Yet she kept talking to him politely and wasn't rude at all. I respect her POV as well, that it was a duet, and in the end she was going to grade it as a duet, no matter how much each sang.
3. Obviously Shaan had a great point as well. If you forget some lines, you should be punished. That's a very respectable point of view, and definately agreeable to many. He just like Shankar, is also competing, and thought his opponent should be punished for the mistake they made. He also thought in this show duets should sing equally, again respectable opinion. If things don't go his way, should he be mad? Maybe. But either way, it's not a bad thing.
4. And I don't know why people seem to always find a way to criticize Himesh Reshammiya in this. He was the one who asked Shaan to express his opinion on this, while the others were looking to move on. All Himesh was saying was that he thought Rahul sang great, and that's the point he kept bringing up. Rahul did sing great, and the other judges agreed with that. It's once again a respectable point of view. After that, Himesh even said that Shankar and Shaan need to decide on how this should be scored. He was being very diplomatic and fair. He was agreeing with both Shaan and Shankar, and didn't show any favorism, listening to what both had to say.
Yet people still rag on him? Come on guys. He enjoyed Rahul's performance. Not really a bad thing.
5. Mika & Mohit, well Mika like usual goes a bit too far, and Mohit obviously no one seemed to have a problem. I won't go too far in defending Mika, but Shaan's anger really brung out the anger in Mika, which is understandable from a human perspective, which led him to go a little too far. But even he has his own opinion.

What I'm basically trying to say is, all the judges had respectable opinions and POVs that are all agreeable. You, or me, might not agree with all of them or some of them, but none of them really did anything so bad, or said anything so wrong, that we should start insulting them or hating them. They all made sense from their POV, and again, we should respect where they are coming from.
Support whoever you thought was right, but at the same time, respect the opinion of the other side. Not hate and insult.
So a big round of applause for all the judges
