This may just be my warped perception but is anyone else confused by the way Krishna's mother seems to swing between different poles of the morality spectrum? First she tells her son that it's perfectly alright for him to have some *ahem* 'mauj masti' with any number of girls so long as he marries within his own caste/class. Later on though, she tells him that he's wrong in taking the abduction of a girl so lightly 🤔
I suppose that with the abduction scenario, she's probably thinking of the potential ramifications for Krishna's and the household's reputation as well but given the extent of the family's power, they'd be able to gloss over any such problems so the inconsistency's still bothering me...😳
Any of you feel the same way or disagree?
