What really irks me in this show is if Neetu did not get married, would Simi have actually taken a stand? I doubt it. I think, until she sees Abhi's head getting bashed in by a cricket bat, may be then she might speak up. Until then Simi will continue to sacrifice herself for her family. Simi is an insult to women; tragically the concept of self-sacrifice is greatly valued among the masses in India. What this show teaches is that to be good, you must give up your love and do what is right for your family.
The show also teaches that if you love someone, then stalk them to the ends of the other and make a complete moron out of yourself, get your rear end kicked in and force, pressure, cooerce that person into confessing their love for you. NO!!! True love never requires this - the person will do it despite all odds facing them including a pregnant sister.
The creatives did a very crafty thing by getting Neetu married first. It cheated us out as audience members to see Simi take a stand for the right reason. I have not expectations or respect for this show. It is an insult to basic intelligence, common sense and the values and morals for which I believe.
