Hrithik Roshan reflects on son Hridaan’s journey with personal poem on his 18th birthday

Actor Hrithik Roshan marked a personal milestone as his younger son Hridaan Roshan turned 18. The actor shared a heartfelt post on social media, revisiting a poem he had written for his son a few years ago, along with a voice note reciting it.

Taking to Instagram, Hrithik posted a picture of Hridaan and reflected on his journey into adulthood. In the caption, he wrote, “Happy 18th birthday Hridaan. I'm no poet, but sharing one I wrote for you in 2021.. because some things are worth repeating.”

The poem, shared in English while the audio version was recited in Hindi, focused on Hridaan’s personality traits and emotional strength. It read, “I'm so proud of the vulnerability you wear so openly, but right behind it- there exists a second skin… resilient, unshaken. It's easy to miss. But I’ve seen it - again and again.”

He further added, “You are a raging fire... behind calm eyes. You are a yoddha of a different kind. Not loud, not restless - but steady, aware and deeply strong. A kind so rare it often has me bewildered. A peaceful warrior. This world needs more of them. The world will test you. But I already know how you will meet it. Happy 18th my son. I love you.”

The post quickly drew attention for its emotional tone, with many noting the candid way in which the actor spoke about his son’s growth and individuality.

Hridaan’s mother, Sussanne Khan, also shared a message on social media. In her note, she expressed pride in his outlook and personality, writing, “You’ve got the most Unbelievable Bright Heart that i have ever seen.. what you see through your lens is so UNIQUE.. Happy happiest 18 Th birthday my Hridaan Jaaan… see the world through your lens.”

She added, “WELCOME to Adulthood.. from here to beyond Time.. spread your goodness and individuality… Near and Far I am always with you relentlessly.”

Hridaan is the younger son of Hrithik and Sussanne, who were married from 2000 to 2014. Despite their separation, the two continue to co parent their children. Reports also indicate that Hridaan will be heading to the United States to study filmmaking, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
