But seriously I think we will know in few days..Right now the emotions are running higher than the reasoning. So later part of the week we will see people actually coming out and revieing the movie wiht unbiased way...

No no, lol, you are not getting the point. Theaters were 100% full on Friday...But the number of theaters and shows was very VERY less. The morning 7Am and 9Am shows were cancelled. And 63 theaters in Mumbai were supposed to screen the movie, but only 13 did...due to threats and all. Thing is, in the morning, even those 13 werent gonna play. But by noon, because of the demand...a few theaters opened up. So that's why it's been said that Sena lost. Because despite their threats, people came out, shows were sold out and theaters had to screen movies due to demand.

But ofcourse MNIK lost money due to so little shows on the opening day. Imagine from 63 to 13?! BOI mentioned that due to that MNIK lost 2.25 crores on Friday. Had all theaters opened, MNIK would've beat Ghajini. Not 3 Idiots, but definitely beat Ghajini.

So it's a little unfair to compare opening day of MNIK to any other movie as the other movies got a proper release on opening day. MNIK did not.

But overseas, it's got the biggest bollywood movie opening ever.

It makes sense that it was the biggest opener overseas. I went to watch it today (V-day) and it was sold out and the next show was also sold out. And of course, this movie is more relatable to NRIs, especially in the U.S.

There is already a topic of box office thread. Just to add MNIK didn't release all over in india. Pune, Maharashtra and Mumbai(Not Entire) MNIK had losses 2.5 crore from Just Maharashtra. And now i just read there is a bomb blast in pune. 8 dead and 3 injured.

Many out side india didn't know anything about the Shiv Sena incident, so this can never be given as an exuse.........

ss controversy just gave mnik lose nothing else all the news papers and news cahnnels are shouitng about it that mnik could have dne moer than this but it lost b'coz of ss😡😡so no one can say that movie got some sort og gain via this crap controversy sorry ppl i think u guyz should see the movie by putting your hatred for srk aside
