Even in the book Harry and Hermione are not going to be together. I got a few quotes from interviews of JKR:

The interview was given way back in 1999 and it has been 5-6 years since then...so anything can happen....and i'm too for Harry-Hermy combo....😛

Yea, I read that too...daniel is not dating emma nor does he love her. u know, i heard that tom is actually dating emma!

Yes, its true that the interview is pretty old, but JKR is not like Ekta Kapoor ...

If Ms. Kapoor was handling this, Khermione would have married Kharry, had a child with him, got divorced because KHarry had an extramarital affair with Ginny. Then she would have married Ron and had an extramarital affair with Draco. While KHarry/KHr's son would get Draco and Pansy's daughter pregnant after a 20 year leap...and...you get the pic...🤢

So in conclusion, since JKR has done a lot of foreshadowing for the R/Hr relationship in the books, she will logically follow that track. Even directors Chris Columbus and Alfonso Cuaron confirmed with her before shooting the Non-Hug and the hand-holding scenes b/w R/Hr.

I think Draco and Ginny would make an interesting couple (feuding families, etc), but unfortunately, it doesn't seem that Draco will become less of a git in the future. I am guessing he will join the Death Eaters in Book 6 or 7.

Regarding Tom and Emma: Tom is interested in her, but Emma hasn't reciprocated (openly) so far...Tom also mentioned on his official website that he "wished" he was dating her.
