Curious Question - Mahi and Ishan

Why should a man as handsome and smooth talking as Ishaan marry Mahi?

I think somewhere you have a point. Mahi and Ishan seem SO different from each other(which does not mean one is better than the other)...yet...they look sort of mismatched. After all Ishan is successful, pragmatic, rather earthy type of guy...while Mahi is emotional, sensitive, always fantasizing. So yes, they ARE not soulmates.


Also,I strongly believe that love can exist only when between people who are similar by nature( "opposites attracts" doesn't work for me), and that's why a Mahi-Ishan love track is not really to my taste. (Though I'd die if they focused only on Shiv-Mahi and Ishan vanished from the show...).

I wish and hope that Mahi and Ishan become friends, Mahi-Shiv fall in love and basically everything happens without any major drama. Coz I seriously dont want to see Ishan as the archetypical bad guy, who "uses" girls and dumps them...! I just want Mahi-Ishan to go out on dates....realize that they can be good friends but nothing more and then become the best of buddies.

On one hand, I agree with you. Mahi-Ishan do appear to be a mismatch. They are quite opposite of each other. And it's just not about Mahi being overweight and Ishan being the perfect smart guy. It's about their personalities. Where Ishan is objective, Mahi is always subjective. Where Ishan seems to mostly rely on his brains, Mahi relies on her heart. Where Ishan doesn't seem to be genuinely involved in a relationship (hence the comment he changes his girlfriends like T-shirts), Mahi is the kind of a girl who would give everything in a relationship.

Again it's not just whether or not Mahi's appearances matches up to Ishan's. It's their personalities.

In true love, physical appearances shouldn't matter. What matters is your personality, your heart and soul and what kind of a person you are.

Mahi's genuinely a nice person, so she deserves someone nice, someone who understands her and someone who compliments her. And that's Shiv only.

In all this .. Shiv and Mahi ... dunno why Ishaan must be blamed Mystery. He got nothing to do with it. It was Mahi all along.

hmmm...really interesting...............i agree mahi and ishaan ....just sumthing missing ...maybe mahi is a little obsessed abt him.......and that is why i think we have always been treated to a larger than life image of ishaan...i think the character is still under wraps...............

dont u think it will still take some time before we can make a call on matching ishaan's personality with mahi..............????

often in life we find sum1 interesting.....we might spend time...we might even go out...talk for hours............... just because our wavelenghts match dosent mean we fall in love....

u can appreciate someone without any romantic notions as well.......maybe ishaan is thinking this way......

love is a long journey.....commitment is nt dat easy.....
i hope they show a nice camaderie here.......sumthing dat really happens..not the usual...run of the mill story........

I think Ishaan is totally innocent and deserves someone else ... maybe someone like his models ... or atleast more ... his way.

I'm not blaming Ishan for anything other than his own jerkness (which isn't even a word but oh well). If the precap isn't misleading then he's the biggest jerk ever and he does NOT deserve Mahi at all. What kind of a guy insults a girl like that?!

Yes, I agree, if Mahi likes Ishan, doesn't mean he has to like her too. And he's not to be blamed at all if he doesn't. I would give him a little blame if he makes his opinion based on just Mahi's appearance. Because that really is shallow. But if he gets to know her and ultimately decide that maybe they aren't really made for each other, then that's fine. Yes, Mahi will be heart broken but Ishan will not to be blamed.

But if he insults her like that in front of everyone, then ALL blame goes to him and I will never, ever forgive him for that.

I never said Mahi's ugly, in fact far from it. The only thing I am saying is that in true love it shouldn't matter. It doesn't matter if you're overweight or ultra skinny, or if your complexion is light or dark, or if you're even pretty or not. The only thing that does matter is what's the person's personality like, whether or not the person's heart is beautiful. I'm talking about true love here, not shallow, worldly attraction.

Mahi has seen Ishan with so many models before and lived with it. The only reason she was sad this time because he said he would like to meet her and continue their meetings. If this was beginning of something new then he should be more concerned about Mahi right now than other models. But she never said he couldn't meet them or take them out. She was only upset that inspite of saying he would call, he didn't and was actually spending the evening with the other girls. If he had been up front that he can't see how things can work out between him and her, Mahi would've understood, I'm sure.

I'm not arguing whether or not Mahi-Ishan are perfect for each other. In fact, I firmly believe that Shiv is perfect for Mahi... she only needs to realize it.

The only thing I am saying is that Mahi-Ishan are not perfect for each other not because they look different.... But because their personalities are different and don't compliment each other.
