Respect lies in the heart.
When Abhi was asked to comment about Nakul, he gave his opinion that Nakul was a decent guy. It shows he does respect him.
Respect can be commanded not demanded. It doesn't make sense if you dont respect and simply call them Bhaiya,Didi.

KAROL BAUGH IS IN INDIA NOT AMERICA😉

EVERY COUNTRY N SOCIETY HAS ITS NORMS AND ONE SHOULD FOLLOW THOSE.... HE SHOULD KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE WITH WHOM N I THINK IT'S PERFECTLY OK THAT NAKUL'S RECTIFYING HIS YOUNGER BROTHER EVERY TIME..!!

WOW, you definately have an anti-west streak there. First and foremost, my siblings and cousins address me by my first name. Some kids in the community call my by my first name while others call me "Laila" Baji or Apa. I am not picky. I called my boss who was a Dr and old enough to be my mother by her first name - she asked me too as well. My staff also calls me by my first name. Calling someone by their first name is not disrespectful. You gain respect in your character and your actions not simply by being an elder or by your status.
By the way, in the US, everyone calls their parents by mom and dad. I have never encountered a case where someone called their parents by their first name. In-laws is a complex situation for them and often they do start calling them by their first name or address them as Mr. and Mrs. It's part of their culture and not a sign of disrespect.

To me its a mute point if Abhi calls Nukul Bhaiya or not. It doesn't matter to me.
All socities have norms and values by the way and there are some that India has that are not healthy.
By the way, you do need to refrain from the capitals because it is considered as shouting in the world of IT communication. Did you know that? If you did, then you do need to stop.

i forgot to mention this Me and my siblings called my mom by her first name because my dad and grandma called her that and being first born I learned that from them in childhood and no one stopped us, till I was 13 and visited my mausi for a month with my mom she was very old fashioned and scolded me every day and every time till I started calling my mom, mommy .
That does not mean I respected my mom less before .
calling mother by her first name out of love is not disrespcet to her by any means,
. Nakul should stop this as it is irritating to demand respect from abhi for himself and simi. I mean many ppl called there wife ji but abhi prefers to call her simi and not simiji. so why force him.
