Part 1

Pankaj says a word of thanks to Jyoti and re-joins Neelam, while Jyoti keeps standing there just staring @ him 😒(what was it about a new beginning, Jyoti?) Kalpana realizes that Jyoti wants to be alone and leaves. Jyoti walks away, again w/ flashbacks of her own wedding, and crosses the road totally unmindful of what's going on around her. While crossing the road in this manner, she almost runs into a car, which brakes just in time. 😲 (Looks like Jyoti could use help herself in crossing a road, before giving such help to Pankaj, like she did the other day when she went out to hunt for Deepu's rishta) A cop comes up to Jyoti, yells @ her and asks her to get to the side.

Back @ home, KK is on the phone w/ the priest about the wedding, particularly the checklist of items. Jyoti enters, and Sushma asks her to go over a list to see what to ask for in terms of the food items. Padma also gives Jyoti the guest list and asks her to go over it: Dadi tells her that she's greatly bloated it. Jyoti asks how she'll understand, but Padma asks her to just go over it. KK too gives Jyoti the Pandit's list, and is about to ask her to do something, when he notices that she's not feeling too good. He asks her whether she's okay, and she says that she'll just go for some water. Padma joins her, and tells her about what they saw in Poonam's room. She was wondering whether an ac could be installed for Poonam, but Jyoti looks stunned. Jyoti tells her that if she can get it in installments, she would, but as Padma leaves, she starts to worry. (Are Pankaj's gold digging days back? Or did they just never leave? Why can't Jyoti simply say no, that they cannot afford what the Trivedi's can)

Elsewhere, Dayal uncle is about to enter his office (I'm guessing it's not Sishu Mangal, since he had left it due to Bhairavi's insults) and sees Pankaj seated there, waiting for him. He asks him what's it about. Pankaj asks him to forget the misbehavior that he received @ his place, and to turn up for his engagement. Dayal uncle is shocked to hear this, and tells Pankaj that he won't ask him who that girl is, but he would ask him who picked that girl for him? (Good line of questioning ) Pankaj asks him what difference does it make, and Dayal uncle tells him that Pankaj wants to tell him one thing, but is telling him something else. Pankaj denies it and tells him that he's here to personally invite him. Dayal uncle then asks him how many people did he go to personally invite? Truth is that Pankaj wanted to talk to him very specifically about something. He asks Pankaj whether he wants to hear what he thinks from someone else? Pankaj gets up and takes his leave, asking him to come to the engagement. Dayal uncle stops him and tells him that after meeting him, he thinks that what he's doing is wrong, and Pankaj himself is aware of it, but... Pankaj cannot forget her, can he? Dayal uncle tells Pankaj that nobody can take her place. Pankaj reiterates his desire for Dayal uncle to be there @ the engagement, and leaves.

Part 2

Next day, @ the Sharma's place, a carpenter is measuring a platform, and Padma & Dadi are discussing it. Another person comes for painting, and yet another for something else... Elsewhere, Jyoti is sorting out the bills for all of these items, and arranging them accordingly, including an advance for the AC. Kalpana walks in, and Jyoti tells her that had she not stood guarantor for that loan, she'd not have gotten it. Kalpana tells her that she didn't want Jyoti to take out that loan, but Jyoti was obdurate. Jyoti tries to explain that even though she did take money from Kalpana in the past, she can't take so much from her. Kalpana jokes that Jyoti doesn't want to pay her interest, but doesn't mind paying it to the bank 😲😆 Kalpana suggests that she needn't blow all the Rs 1 lakh on just the wedding, but Jyoti tells her that since Deepu is her only bro, her Dadi, mom, papa have all thought a lot about his wedding. They couldn't do anything for any of the 3 daughters' weddings. She had taken this loan so that all their desires would be fulfilled.

Kalpana explains that the purpose of her mentioning that was that after some time, Jyoti would have to take a leave of absence for her pregnancy, and in that case, how is she going to repay it? Jyoti (in her usual emotions w/o brains mode) says that her baby would not trouble her @ all, but would actively support her. Kalpana takes her leave.

Jyoti sits down and resumes the bookkeeping, when Dayal uncle walks in. Jyoti offers him a seat, and Dayal uncle tells her that he's here to see her. Jyoti notices that he is tense, and asks him what it is? He tells her that Pankaj had come to see him, but seemed subdued and worried. Tomorrow is his engagement. Jyoti is shocked to hear it's tomorrow.

Part 3

Jyoti tells him she knows that Pankaj is engaged. Just then the phone rings and Padma asks her whether to paint the whole room, and Jyoti approves, saying that it's covered. Dayal uncle continues that he thinks Pankaj is worried, and if Jyoti wants, (she could come there😲)... Jyoti tells him that Sandeep is getting married, and invites him. Dayal uncle blesses her and leaves. (So Sandeep will be marrying on the same day that Pankaj will be getting engaged?)

That night, Jyoti is as usual wandering about her balcony, still moving on by remembering all the moments she shared w/ Pankaj, such as learning Braille. In his room, Pankaj too is in the same mode. (They really waste time on such scenes) Sushma calls Jyoti, and Jyoti goes to join her. Just then, the phone rings, and after some hesitation, Jyoti answers it. Pankaj is the one who's called, but seemingly just to listen to the sound of her voice.

Precap

Jyoti is in front of her mirror combing her hair, when suddenly, she notices a ring she is wearing on one of her fingers and stops. She then goes ahead to remove that ring from her finger - apparently, it was one that Pankaj had given her.

At that moment, @ the engagement, Pankaj is about to put the ring on Neelam's finger, but it slips and falls on the ground. People are stunned @ this ill omen - Neelam, CM, Sudha, et al (repeat after me: ABSHAKUN!!!! 🤣)

Comments

Jyoti seems unable to live up to her rhetoric: after all the lectures she's given her folks about the importance of moving on, she's still fixated on Pankaj. In the restaurant, for instance, Pankaj's voice shouldn't have made a difference, and she should simply have ordered whatever it was that would satisfy her. Ditto for Pankaj. His calling Jyoti @ the end - how lame was that? Incidentally, one thing - I'd like to see less time being wasted on those stupid flashback scenes - I'm not interested in seeing any more of Jyoti leaving her footprints on the chart, or feet in a bowl, or whatever.

In the Sharma home, suddenly, it's like the old days, when everybody would pile on Jyoti w/ the bills. Here again, why does she need to take out a loan of Rs 1 lakh, when she has Rs 10 lakhs in her bank account? She's not going to touch it b'cos Pankaj filled it? She won't even borrow from Kalpana, but rather, from a bank, when in a few months, as Kalpana pointed out, she'll have to go on maternity leave?? I hate this serial lionizing her for letting her emotions trump reason all the time.

And Padma? Just b'cos Poonam has an AC in her maayka, Deepu's room would suddenly need an AC? How about the 2 infants on their way, who will certainly need a cool summer more than Poonam will. Funny how shamelessly Padma asks for such things, and if & when KK will object, Padma will throw back in his face Jyoti declining the alimony. Another thing - Padma always disdained the Vashisths, initially Uday who was blowing his cash on Sudha, and now Pankaj, after he's divorced Jyoti. But w/ the Trivedis, she doesn't mind that they too seem much richer than the Sharmas are. One more of her double standards.

I'm glad to see Dayal uncle back. But I wish both Pankaj & Jyoti had mentioned to him their decision to move on. Dayal uncle is not doing Jyoti any favors by telling her about Pankaj's state of mind. Also, how does he invite Jyoti to Pankaj's engagement - doesn't he know how much she's hated, and how likely she is to be insulted, in addition to the injury of seeing her Pankaj get engaged to another girl?

So Pankaj's engagement will coincide w/ Deepu's marriage? I do hope Dayal uncle snubs the former for the latter, and tells Bhairavi & Gayatri, if confronted, that he is unworthy of such company. I predicted something like this yesterday. So I'm guessing that Uday & Sudha will have to miss out on Deepu's wedding, or will CM give them a pass and tell them to go there, instead of being sourpusses here @ Pankaj's engagement? I'd think Neelam's family might prefer that Uday not be there.

Episode rating: 👍🏼 A pretty dull episode. However, look forward to tonight's abshakun 😆😆

Lokk dear Virsha..what you have written about Jyoti (Not moving on Mentally)..I donot know your age..so might not know your depth as a person..but just one thing i want to say..in each of our life we all have a time we want to move on ..But it is not that easy to move on in life...when someone whome you loved so much..Mainly we say we need to move on...just for the sake of controlling our emotion...whereas that particular person is their as memory..or Good memory..I agree Jyoti should move on..she would but the problem is like every human being..She had her emotion ..She is remembering Good memories with Pankaj..not the bad one...These are the thing in each of our life which we can not forget...They say " People come People go..only Memory stays"..i THINK gOOD MEMORY...................I n the case of Jyoti..when you are carrying child of someone..It is not that easy to forget him.....She had connected with heart with Pankaj..With just few words can not really cut the Rishta..might be thats why Pankaj is also making phone call to Jyoti..............

My comments about their moving on was based on their grand rhetoric - Pankaj's to Jyoti, and Jyoti's to the rest of her folks. I know that one needs time to move on, it's not easy doing so, etc etc. But the charade they are putting on in front of everybody else, which is in such sharp contrast to the way they are themselves
behaving, is what puts me off. If I was moving ahead from a relationship, I'd not be giving people around me the lecture that Jyoti gave her father - that she doesn't want to dwell on the past nor the future, but just the present. I'd give myself the recovery time needed, and not try to throw kitchen sink events into my life, the way Jyoti is doing. First, she aggressively tries to find work and then a dance school, then over Deepu's objections, she finds him a rishta, and now she's enthusiastically working on his wedding. Yet, during all this, she allows her mind to recall events during her own wedding. Pretty natural, but given her rhetoric, she should be doing what she can to get her mind off all this baggage.

And lest you think I'm singling out Jyoti, I think Pankaj, at the moment, is even worse. First he sends Jyoti that notice, and I'm not even sure whether he knew that that day was Deepu's engagement: if he did, he's more of a monster than I thought. Then he calls her a day later and presses her to respond to her immediately, even though the notice allowed Jyoti a month to respond. So Jyoti goes to him and grants him the divorce. So now what? He got everything he wanted since he kicked Jyoti out, so why is he so obsessed w/ her memories? Even if you overhear her @ the restaurant, just shut it out and continue the conversation w/ Neelam. And tomorrow, his mind will be on Jyoti, and the ring will fall.

Memo to both of them: Talk is cheap!!! (Particularly theirs)

Neelam rubs me the wrong way. There's something off about her.

As for for the moving on issue, I totally understand why Jyoti is having a hard time moving on, but Pankaj, this is all happening with his consent.
If you can't live without a person, no matter what they've done, you learn to live with it, and if you can't then you get over them.
He's so mad that Jyoti cheated on him (for which I can't really blame him, in a way) it should be easy for him to move on and forget about her. Bur the needle to his record is stuck at the same place

^^^^^^On Neelam, I think the reason for it is that so far, she's come across as somewhat bitter, and there ain't anything she seems happy about. I don't totally blame her - if I were a girl being forced to marry the blind divorcee bro of a guy who stood me up after his family came to mine w/ a proposal, I too would be 🤬 about it, and wouldn't look happy about getting married to him.
Just consider their coffee-house date, where granted, Pankaj is being distracted by Jyoti's voice on the other side, but is hardly talking to Neelam. Wasn't the whole idea of that them getting to know each other a little better? Contrast it w/ Deepu & Poonam who were dating elsewhere.
If Neelam turns out to be non-confrontational w/ Sudha, and simply takes out her rage on everyone else in the family, I'll be fine w/ that. I just don't want her hurting Sudha.
