If I am the judge then I would call both the contestants two days before the show and ask them to prepare 5 songs that they think they could perform the best. But the 5 songs would be like this.
1 pure classical, 1 semi-classial, 1 classical based regional folk, 1 very romantic slow number, and 1 peppy song (prefer RD Burman song). There will be one condition that no two songs can be of the same singer.

Iske baad doodh ka doodh aur paani ka paani ho jayega.
