It is not very strange that she fell for Datta- Every reason to fall for and also the reason being she knows she is not ugly and might for a moment forget that she looks ugly to others. Only when the kids are frightened of her she will realise about her self.

But she crying so much was a little wierd because from her background I dont think she can expect to be Datta's lover/wife.

I think that is waht they wnated to show later where she will relaise her place etc. etc. and how she will help Supriya get closer to Datta and in the process becoming an attraction to Datta.

yes true...datta is waaay out her league...she has such a major crush on him that she doesnt realize that. plus in her current look which guy wud fall for her like immediately? its been only 2-3 days since she met him. so yes ur rite...she's not looking at the mirror all the time and datta also doesnt act horrified so she tends to forget how she appears to him. it was only after the kid got scared looking at her did she remember.
