Kumar Sanu takes on reality
Not shattered by the response that his first film Escape from Taliban received, director Ujjwal Chatterjee is all set to start his second project to be produced by singer Kumar Sanu. The director has won national awards and is recognized as a maker of controversial films in Bengali and Hindi and he is also known for choosing subjects from the Indian political scenario. Hence, his second venture called Utthan is supposed to be based on Shivani Bhatnagar and Nanini Singh murder starring Priyanshu Chatterjee and Neha Dhupia. The director got the idea while reading about the incident in newspapers. "However, the film opens with the murder and the remaining film is pure fiction", clarifies Ujjwal. He believes his film is going to be about ambitious political leaders and pseudo aristocrats of the society and has refused to give out names of any political leaders related to it. Priyanshu plays an ambitious TV journalist and Neha is a Miss India. The film is scheduled for December release. At present, Ujjwal is working on the pre production of his previous film Mausam.
