~ Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani Part 4 ~

(Armaan was taking out his books and thinking to himself)

Armaan (to himself): I just love the way she got so nervous after the fall. If it were another girl, she would have just started giggling away. Hmm so different..

Suddenly someone slams his locker door and Armaan jerks, looking up to see Tina standing there.

Tina: Hi Handosme, Tonight? At Red scott? (She says coming in between Armaan and his locker)

Armaan: Oh hi Tina! Gosh you scared me for a moment. Well erm tonight? I would love to but gotta run some last minute errands. So I don't think I can make it. Sorry.

Tina (Looking disappointed): Oh that's a first!..Hmm ok, no worries then gorgeous! I will catch you soon! Bye! (and she leans forward kssing Armaan's cheeks)

Armaan just remained still and said "Bye!"

Tina walks away and Armaan was amused at what had just happened,

Armaan (to himself): Dude! You rejected Tina for a night out and she kisses you and you just remained still?! I must be having a concussion after that fall! This is SO not like me!

Venue : At the Auditorium

Bharti is walking towards Mr Lalooo Sam. He squeals upon seeing Bharti and quickly presses the "Play" button on his Radio. All ready to dance to "Salaam Namaste"

Bharti (seeing this): Ahh Sir, No I'm fine. No need for the dance. It's ALL good! I love the warm welcome you just gave me already.

Mr Lalooo Sam: Arre Yeh kya hai? Bharti beta listen to me. My dance moves are like so HOT like Garam Masala!! You sure you don't want a taste of it? Who knows, it could be Tandoori Chicken today?! Hahahah.....!! (and he burst out laughing while the rest of then just stared at him)

Bharti: Hah! Good one Sir! BUT I've had my lunch. So no thanks! Can we start already Sir? Time is very precious! I've got so many things to do and so little time and now this detention.You know Sir in life there's a lot of things to achieve and..and ..if we just waste ti..

(Payal stops Bharti before she starts blabbering non-stop and Bharti pushes up her glasses as it was sliding off her nose..She was so caught up with her "speech" that she didn't realize her glasses was sliding off. You see Bharti gets very paranoid about time not being spent properly. She believes in making full use of what we've got at the moment.)

Mr Lalooo Sam (heavily disappointed that Bharti rejected his dance said): Chal, theek hai lets start. As you guys know your Prom Night is in Three days time, that is to say this weekend on a Saturday. So who else but me , myself and I am in- charged of the decorations. So today the five of y'll, including Armaan who is at the locker now, will be helping me out with it. Quickly get into pairs and we will divide the workload.

Upon hearing this, Sunny immediately ran towards and stood beside Bhaskar. Bhaskar being aware of this starts moving away. But Sunny followed him sideways. It looked as though they were marching but sideways instead. 😆

(Hmm why don't we take a peek at how it looked..)

Bhaskar moves ONE step to the right

Sunny follows suit and also moves ONE step to the right beside Bhaskar

Bhaskar noticing this moves TWO steps to the right now

Sunny getting all shy, bends down and wriggles his right leg and THEN ONCE again follows Bhaskar and moves TWO steps to the right as well

Bhaskar looks up at Sunny stares at him. He was about to explode but he told himself to remain calm. For the last time he moves again to the right and unknowingly bangs into Payal who was standing there. Payal turns to Bhaskar and Says

Payal: Hey! Watch where you're going!

Bhaskar was about to fight back with Payal BUT suddenly he got struck with a brilliant idea!

Bhaskar : Ahh Mr Lalooo Sam I've found a partner! (and he immediately raises Payal's hands)

Payal was stunned, she turn to Bhaskar and looked up at her raised hands and said,

Payal : WHAT?!

Sunny who was bending down being all shy and twirling his leg automatically had a chemical reaction which resulted in a change of his expressions from a shy one to a shocked one and finally to a sad/sobbing one.

Payal, on the other hand, was trying hard to fight with Bhaskar to let go of her wrist. She totally didn't see this coming at all.

Payal (through gritted teeth): Excuse me Mr Bhaskar, what do you think you are doing?! Am NOT gonna partner you! I'm with Bharti!! Leave my wrist now or I'll step on your foot real hard!

Bhaskar Whispering (with pleading eyes for the first time mind you): Woman! Relax! Come on just partner me please! Sunny is after me! I can't deal with guys after me. Bloody weird..! Sheez kababs!

Payal : But I..

Bhaskar : Hush! Don't say a word, just agree! We are partners that's it! I DON'T negotiate, ain't my policy! (and he gave a stare/ warning look to Payal)

(You see his lost his temper. He plead but Payal refused and he can't take rejection SO Bhaskar Sab had to take it a notch higher and be FIERCE. Which is well, his forte..)

Payal (Gulped and in a frightened voice which turns out shrilly): Ahh YES! YES!..Me..ah no..no we ..YES WE are partners! Your know erm Bhaskar and me just love to be paired up..Yes.. we love it! (She snaps her fingers)

Sunny sees this and starts crying.

Sunny (in broken parts ): Payal!! How could you do this?? I thought that we were friends?..All the things I did for you and what I get back is this ?? You are cheating me!! Right in front of my very own eyes??!! Ka..Ka..Kaattooorr!!! (and he runs away to Bharti crying on her shoulders) 😭

Bharti: Oh dear Sunny don't cry now. It's doesn't mean anything. They are just paired up to do the work nothing else.

Mr Lalooo Sam: Arre Yeh kya hora hai? Yeh drama class kya? Sunny itni sarre emotions? Wah kya baat hai! Care to teach me how you do it Sunny? Actually you see I had always wanted to become an actor and I dream that one day..(and he stops abruptly seeing Bharti's annoyed look)..Ok ok I shall not get there..Bharti time very precious right..So lets start! Ok Bharti who's your Partner?

Bharti: Sir I think I'll partner Sunn..

Just then the Auditoruim door swings open and Armaan enters in

Mr Lalooo Sam : Ah Armaan! You're back! Great! Ok Bharti and Armaan you both pair up together and Sunny it's your lucky day!! Guess why!! Guess! Guess!

Sunny: I will get Bhaskar?

Mr Lalooo Sam: Well not really, but close enough OR better! Because Sunny my bachaa you're paired up with ME!! (And he points to himself with his Two thumbs)

Sunny sobs even more. Already he wasn't getting Bhaskar but to add to that Now he's paired up with Lalooo the wacko!

Mr Lalooo Sam: Ok guys get together with your pairs. Bhaskar and Payal, the two of y'll are in- charged of checking the guest list and allocating the balloons and ribbons to each tables as decoration. Bharti and Armaan, you two are to paint the banners that are to be put up later. Further instructions as in how to do it are all on this piece of paper. Come and take it and start. Oh yes read it by yourselves and if you guys have any doubts GFO!

All four of them looked at Lalooo with a puzzled look and said : Come again?!

Mr Lalooo Sam: Dear god! GFO meaning to say GO FIGURE OUT! Hahahahahahah!!!....

They just rolled their eyes and Bhaskar and Payal left from there. Sunny, who was standing with Armaan and Bharti, looked at Mr Lalooo Sam.

Sunny: But Sir what do I do then? You haven't allocated me anything.

Mr Lalooo: Ahh yes Sunny my boy! (He walks towards Sunny and places his arms around him and said while walking away..) You see I want to learn how to potray those emotions that you just displayed or should I say acted out.Hehe. It's for my future..you know acting..my dream (he pokes sunny's tummy playfully). That's why I learned dancing you know my "Salaam Namaste" moves. Gotta say I'm getting the hang of it. Those moves are fine. I can get down and boogie any moment. But acting hmm that's tough !Not my niche area. That's why I want YOU to teach ME! 😃

Suuny (surprised and still sobbing): Par sir! Yeh toh asli emotions hai! I'm not acting!! Sir I'm heartbroken and whatever that happened just now was real.

Mr Laloo Sam (amused at Sunny): Hmm eitherways WHATEVER! You just teach me all that you know alright..My fame is important. So come lets start rightaway..I want to learn how to cry..Is it like this or?..

(Mr Lalooo just carry on asking Sunny questions over questions while Sunny just sat down there all depressed and said : This is so not fun! I wasn't expecting this! So much for my date with bhaskar?(and he sulked away..)

Mr Lalooo Sam saw what was happening for afar and he shouted at them,

Mr Lalooo Sam : Oi! Are you guys glued to the ground or something? What y'll looking at! Get started or I shall get there and show y'll some new dance moves I just figured out.

Armaan quickly moved and looked at Bharti and said

Armaan: Shall we?

Bharti (horrified by Lalooo's offer immediately replied to Armaan): YES! We shall! (and they headed to get the banners and started Painting)

Over at Bhaskar and Payal's side it was dead silence. Payaly quietly just started counting the balloons and was allocating them to different tables. Bhaskar was getting bored so he took out one balloon and started blowing it. With just one puff he was able to blow the balloon into a huge size. He looked at Payal, who was quitely doing her work and said,

Bhaskar: You can talk to me you know. I'm not that scary as it seems.

Payal ignored Bhaskar and started counting loudly. Bhaskar annoyed by Payal's ignorance decided to get her attention. He was thinking hard and then once again an idea struck him. He turn to look at his left hand in which he was holding the blown balloon. There on the floor he found a felt pen without it's cap on. He picked up the pen and stood up. To ensure that Payal didn't suspect him he slowly walk around and soon enough he managed to get behind her back. He raised the balloon near to Payal and burst it in her ears!

Payal out of shock screamed and she turned around to see Bhaskar lying on the floor holding his tummy and laughing hard.

On the other side upon hearing this loud sound Mr Lalooo Sam jerked up and had a WHOLE different reaction to this.

Mr Lalooo Sam : OH GOD!! BOMB! BOMB!! Japanese are attacking us again!! WWIII!! Run children! Hatto Sunny! Don't stand here like s statue! ! Run run for you lives!! (and he quickly heads for the exit sign and he runs out. The first one to run out that is..)

Seeing Mr Lalooo reaction, everybody started laughing. Sunny straight away fled from there and went to see his sweetheart that is well Bhaskar.

He was so happy that Mr Lalooo had ran away and more importantly left him! But his happiness soon dissolved into sadness when he saw what was happening before his eyes.

Payal started playfully hitting Bhaskar for scaring her and Bhaskar surprisingly was enjoying it by laughing and trying to escape every of Payal's punches. Then finally Bhaskar grabbed Payal's wrist and for a moment the tough scary Bhaskar became a loving one and he was immensely staring into Payal's eyes and he said,

Bhaskar : Finaly..I got your attention.

Payal was shocked and she let go of Bhaskar and turned around only to find Sunny standing there with his eyes all welled up. He looked at Bhaskar and said, "How could you?!" Then he turned to Payal and said, "I'm shattered!" (and he runs away from there wailing and throwing his hands up in the air in despair)

Bharti sees Sunny running out and says to Armaan,

Bharti: Hahah! I think Sunny too thinks that a bomb just explode!

(and they both share a moment of laughter)

Armaan: You know Bharti, your friends are pretty different from you. Well Sunny as we all know what he is. But Payal. She's so not like you. I mean you are all studious with your glasses on and I'm sorry but your outfits don't match always. Payal she like dresses properly and studies well not that good. You get what I'm saying?

Bharti: Yea well Payal and I are poles apart in terms of looks and how we choose to dress but we pretty much have the same likes and dislikes, interest and besides looks aren't everything you know. Making friends is about knowing their inner self and not going by their appearance. For me appearance is nothing and even though Payal does look way gorgeous then me it definitely doesn't hinder our friendship.

Armaan (amazed by Bharti): Woah! I just might have a lot to learn from you.

Bharti: Yea that you do! (she smiles and then it fades away) But wait you're what? Making fun of me now? Why'd you have to bring up looks and especially making reference to my glasses?

Armaan (amused by Bharti's sudden defense): Oh no no! Nothing of that sort. Really. I think you look cute in them especially when you try to use your nose to push up your glasses when it slide off. It's like a cute lil' habit of yours.

And just when Armaan said that Bharti's black glasses slides down her nose and she quickly uses her fingers instead, in which she was holding a paintbrush, to push her glasses up. She looked away then, surprised by the compliment that Armaan just gave her.

Then suddenly Armaan said,

Armaan: Hey Bharti, um there's some paint on your face

Bharti (going red like a tomato, quickly asked): Where? Where? Is it here? (and she frantically starts rubbing her cheeks which only resulted in more paint further being added on her face..)

Armaan (laughed): No, here let me help you (and her leans forward with a tissue paper in his hands and he starts removing the paint off Bharti's face)

They were inches apart from each other and Bharti for the first time noticed Armaan's sultry eyes. It was so deep and intense. She was surprised that for a boy he had those long, dark and very black eyelashes. She was lost in them for a moment but she snapped out of it when Armaan said,

Armaan: There all cleared (and he sits back)

Bharti thanked Armaan and looked away, She couldn't believe what had just happened. She has never had any interest or even a slightest crush on Armaan. As a matter of fact on any guys AT ALL! Her only interest lied in her studies and her friends.

Armaan decides to break the sudden silence.

Armaan: So Prom Night is in three days time huh. Who you going with?

Bharti: Erm actually I wasn't planning on going but Payal woudn't hear to that. So I've been dragged along. It'll be Sunny, Payal and myself. Hmm Payal must have a date so I'll go with Sunny.

Armaan (suppressing his laughter) : Hmm Sunny. He's ah?He's okay with going with a girl?

Bharti: Ha! Ha! Ha!..(sarcastically).. I know he's into guys BUT we are just going as friends. He's my buddy! How about you Mr Armaan Sinha? Who makes all girls go weak on their knees.

Armaan: Hmm correction. Not all girls. Excluding you remember.. Oh but yes I am going with someone. Please don't ask me whom. There's a lot of girls who are waiting for me to ask them. I'm not bossing around but it's the truth! You know Bharti sometimes I just can't take it. These girs are after me because they want to be Armaan Sinha's Boyfriend. It's like not real you know.

Bharti: Well yea true. But come on you were never serious either in the first place!

Armaan: Yes I know that. Not my fault though. These girls are not really my type.

Bharti: Acha? Oh so what's your type?

Armaan: Hah! Leave that aside. I myself haven't quite got that yet. So I'm not sure...... Hey Bharti um why not you go with me to Prom Night this year? As my.. You know date.?

Armaan asked Bharti with earnest eyes.
