Watching this episode it looks like SRGMP is looking for Voice of Sonu not Voice of India? Why most of song chosen were sung by Sonu Nigam only.

If you are talking about the Feb 9th episode, then yes. Shaan said all 6 were sung by Sonu Nigam. I have heard each original song many many times, and I can say with confidence that Debo has his own style and doesn't copy anyone, while Vineet was reaking with Sonu Nigam's trademark style. Just my observation. 😳

Today's episode sucked big time. First of all it was all Sonu Nigam song. I thought that India has some other singers too. I guess I was wrong. I wish GS brings back the real LEGENDS as the judges, not these loafers. Both Vinit and Debu sang well in the first round. Nothing extra ordinary. Although I lost my eardrum when Vinit sang the higher notes. Just cannot compare the singers with two completely different songs.

Second round sucked the most. Both the songs are sung so brilliantly by Sonu Nigam, that his voice always echoed on the background. The feel was completely missing from both the singers. I expected better performance from both of them. From Vinit beacuse it was a Sonu song, and from Debu because Piyu Bole has a lot of touch of bengali music in that song.

The third round was OK. I personally feel Vinit was better in this round, but again it was a Sonu song(Vinit fans please note that I don't always bash Vinit). Debu did not know the lyrics of the song, and on a fast track song it is extremely important to know the lyrics, or else you loose the feel, and that what happened to Debu when he stated the antara.

Overall it was a very mediocre show mainly due to bad song selection from the GEN NEXT judges. Expected a better show from the FINAL 2.

Vinit has a very good voice and is any day better than Debojit. Now, if the competition was between Hemachandra and Vinit, then we could talk about comparisons or any sort of challenge. Now, what remains is the challenge between the rest of India VS the seven North Eastern States.

If the competition was between Hema and Vinit, Hema wins hands down without breaking a sweat. don't see any challenge whatsoever, let alone comparisons. If you talk about originality and quality of voice, it's like a race between a rikshaw (Vinit) and a lamborghini (Hema).

Since Hema is not here, I find debo's voice quality and originality any day better than vinit
