For me too, LNMDJ will always remain one of my favz. Heck, this is the only Indian show I've followed from beginning till (now decided) end.
This show has actually become a part of my life. I'm not so upset about the show ending as I am about the 'gharelu' track having been introduced. If Ila had not died, and in Jan and Feb (and maybe March) months, the track was about how the guys win the girls back, that would have been the BEST. I personally wanted a relatively short show, with a logical beginning, middle and end. And LNMDJ fulfilled most of it. But nothing's perfect and LNMDJ's imperfection was this 'gharelu' track, a blot on an otherwise almost-perfect show. But I guess, even in this track, our original LNMDJ was not completely lost thanks to our 3 amazing couples.
For me, ideally the progress of the show should have been : brothers come for revenge -> revenge plan in progress -> get to know the Gujrals more -> question themselves 'how can these sweet people wrong anybody' -> fall in love, realise that the Gs cannot be responsible -> start their investigations as to the real murderer -> about to reveal their true identities but Inder informs the girls of their revenge plans -> Anger and hatred from the girls side, break all ties, guys heartbroken -> Guys try to convince the girls of the genuineness of their feelings, girls give them a really hard time(though suffering themselves) -> Guys redeeming themselves : some direct professions of love and lots of subtle acts of care -> All 3 jodis realise they are made for one another -> happy ending, Love Ne Mila Di Jodi.
And in all this, no gharelu type character whatsoever.
Though the story didn't take the turn I wanted since the time all the truths started tumbling out, still LNMDJ will remain for me one of my all-time fav show. This show has given me so much happiness, has made me witness to some outstanding sequences and brilliant acting. It has the best ensemble cast, not just because of their acting or looks but also because all of them suited their respective characters to the T. Oh.. I could go on and on. A BIG thank you to the entire team of LNMDJ for giving us such an amazing show with no help (zero promotions), and wish them all the very best.
I hope, in this last few weeks, we are treated to the original authentic LNMDJ.
I would also like to say thanks to all the wonderful members of this forum. I don't get much time to come to IF but whenever I do, I always find a smile on my face. Such a warm, fun forum and such insights too.
And as Swetha said, let's all enjoy our beloved show in its final hour. BTW, I'll rewatch the entire show(complete with initial promos) again on YT once the original run ends.😊
