Sarrkkar's Shweta (Shveta Salve) is behind bars. After a hit-and-run accident on the show, the actress will be in prison for a few episodes.
"I am shown to be involved in a road mishap, where I was driving while drunk. My mother-in-law, who is the chief minister, doesn't do anything about getting me out of jail.
Being righteous, she always wants to make sure she doesn't encourage going against the law. Of all people, it is Yana (Manini De) who comes to meet me and make sure I am doing okay," says the actress.
Salve is excited about the way her track is shaping up in Sarrkkar. "It isn't easy for someone like me to do a negative role. Since I have a soft face, it's difficult to look evil and act that way," she explains.
New role
The actress has recently landed herself a new role in Star One's Yeh Dil Chahe More. "It's my second cameo, after Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. The reason I did it, is because it gave me a chance to work with kids. I love interacting with children and spending time with them.
Funnily, on the show, I play Maya, an evil woman who doesn't get along with kids. Mukul Dev is working opposite me and the plot is very similar to Sound of Music. I am wearing hot blouses and chiffon sarees — a totally different look from Sarrkkar."
