I am ok with Dharmesh & Meenu elimination...

For me Bhavna & Meenu weakest in girls
Kishor and Dharmesh one of them could have gone...
Although I feel bad that Dharmesh performing something outside of his forte presenting a regional folk dance and getting eliminated....
Reminds me of Kiran getting eliminated after her classical dance performance in DID 1...
Oh well....

Due to my limited knowledge in Theyyam Dance form, I find it hard to say what is right and what is wrong. I would say he did relatively well but it was very interesting to hear what Terence had to say. I was speechless when I heard Terence explaining about the dance form. To be honest, it definitely looked like he knew more about the dance form than Geeta or Remo. (Despite the fact that Geeta is a classical dancer and Remo is from south). I loved hearing what TL had to say and must admit, I learnt a lot.
Even though I love Puneet and think he is the best dancer from RKR, I still feel his solo act did not do justice to his potential. The timing wasn't spot on and his moves could have been more crisp. The choreography needs to be slightly more challening I think but overall I enjoyed the concept. Kunwar was the best out of the guys for me, the only noticeable error to me was his cartwheel and Remo mentioned the other one which I missed. He is very good with the control he has with his body.
I loved Binny's performance. She made a few mistakes but the choreography was good. Shakti was absolutely fab as usual I hope her haters now have nothing to say.

H4L, you said a bunch of things I wanted to say!! 😃 Remo is in fact from Kerala (originally), and I was also surprised that he didnt know much about Theyyam, as he knows a lot about the folks dances in the South, especially Tamilnadu. But then Theyyam is a folk dance only in the Northern districts of Kerala, so many in Kerala also wouldnt have much exposure to it. I think Kishore would have been a better bet for Geeta to experiment that dance as he is from Mangalore, which is closer to the Northern border of Kerala, and so he might have seen Theyyam - just a guess... But I cannot blame Dharmesh or Geeta for the problems, as both of them are not familiar with this dance form, and the "person" that helped Geeta with the dance steps, costume and makeup - I doubt whether that person really knows the art well enough, but could be someone from that region so have seen the dance... Because Terence was absolutely right when he said that Theyyam circles/rounds are done very fast - they really twirl very fast, and I believe the reason could be not only the trance experience but also that fast moves will make the costume feel lighter. And Theyyam has no similarity with Kathakali, though the costume and makeup might look similar - even though they are not at all similar, but only those who are familiar with these forms will know the details.. I was so amazed when Terence said he knows about Theyaam - I never expected him to know... 😊
And I agree that Punit's solo wasnt as good as Kunwar's, as I felt slightly disconnected with Punit at times, whereas I stayed connected with Kunwar. The concept and choreography for Punit was outstanding though, I must say. Same with Binny too - I have watched little girls dance for the same song for the Xmas New Year celebration at a gathering here, and I liked their performance more, even though it was choreographed by someone who isnt a trained dancer. But I love to watch Binny regardless - she has such stage presence that she can obtain all the attention from the viewers! Shakti was undoubtedly the best of all six!!! She performs with so much ease that it looks very easy to do when it is really very hard to do...
