Shah Rukh mentors Vivek Oberoi

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan is playing mentor to none other than Vivek Oberoi who was secluded by almost everyone in the industry. The young actor is currently staging a big comeback that started off with Kurbaan and he is following it up with Prince and Paritala Ravi. Vivek says he is thankful to SRK for being there when people had rubbished him.

Industry gossip has it that it is Shah Rukh who had advised him to patch up with his foes post which he had buried the hatchet with Ram Gopal Varma and is trying his level best to come in the good books of the Bachchan family despite he had a fall out with them when Aishwarya Rai became the Bachchan bahu.

An industry source says: "Vivek has been really trying hard to mend the things that he has done to stage a great comeback. He needs the support of all his industry colleagues and since he has been close to Karan Johar, automatically he has come close to SRK. Shah Rukh has sat with him and made him understand the importance of having friends and has advised him to patch up with as many people as possible. From the Bachchans to Sanjay Dutt to Salman Khan to Ekta Kapoor and even Aditya Chopra, Vivek is on the bad books of many influential industrywallas."

The informer adds: "During a recent premiere of a Hollywood movie, Vivek was one of the invitees at the event that also saw SRK and the entire Bachchan family drop in. Vivek exchanged pleasantries with the family. He had also been to Teji Bachchan's funeral, the first sign of him trying to come close to the family. He has managed to soften the family's approach for sure as when they meet him, there is no sign of animosity between them. All this has happened thanks to SRK's advice."

Vivek says: "Shah Rukh Khan has been very kind. He has been with me when I was really going through a rough phase. Without him I couldn't have bounced back. His words of wisdom will always be treasured by me."

Vivek's new best friend

Vivek Oberoi is on a major comeback trail. After getting rave reviews for Kurbaan, he is super thrilled about Prince and RGV's Rakta Charitra. He also wants to mend his broken relationships in the industry.

Helping him make friends in the industry is none other than the charming, affable and witty Shah Rukh Khan who had advised him to bury the hatchet with his old foes. Vivek and RGV had fallen out a while ago and now they are making Rakta Charitra together. Vivek plays the lead role in that film. He is also trying to make amends with the Bachchan family and the Bachchan bahu.

A source tells us, 'Vivek has become more accessible now, even to the media. He readily gives interviews peppered with witty answers. He has been on an event spree too, attending two events in one night. He made his presence felt at Farah Khan's show for Triumph. Due to Kurbaan, he became good friends with Karan Johar through whom he got close to SRK. King Khan spoke to him about the importance of being on amicable terms with everybody in the industry. He is currently trying to make amends with Ekta Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Chopra. Shah Rukh will be there to provide him any help that he needs.'

The source adds, 'Vivek and SRK were present at the Avatar premiere. The Bachchan family was also there and Vivek greeted them in an effort to erase the cold, uncomfortable vibes between them. The Bachchans were also warm towards him. He feels much better now and is grateful to SRK for the words of wisdom that he shared with him.'

With SRK on his side, we wonder if Vivek will try and make amends with long-time foe, Salman Khan.

Forget about BACHCHANS and Salman..Viveik said sorry so many times and why should he be nice to Bachchans? He should STAY AWAY from them. Vivek has talent, srk has always been nice to vivek. Srk invites vivek every year to his new year's party but he declined all of his invites from past how many years. I hope he patches up with dia and rani. Those good old times.

i love vivek anyway u no what im not bothered what vivek did in the past its nice to see shahrukh helping him that is why srk is my fav actor because hes kind and lovable
