hey guys

Well, all of us have our favourites, most of which are huge blockbusters like DDLJ, KKHH, KHNH, HDDCS, Sholay, Deewar, Kabhie kabhie, Mughal E Azam etc etc....i created this thread to remember and appreciate movies which werent quite such huge blockbusters and are probably lesser known, but were wonderful movies/ ur favourites nevertheless...so here goes my list

Angoor: Gulzar's comedy inspired by shakesphere's "Comedy of errors" involving a lot of twins...😆..the muvie cracked me up and was an awsome experience thanx to the subtle acting (sanjeev kumar especially) and clean comedy...nothing vulgar or crass...jus awsome stuff...

Lamhe: I always thought Yash chopra's muvies were totally formulaic, mushy, cheesy and OTT with heroines in chiffon sarees dancing in swiss alps....but lamhe changed it for me. Hell it is his best work to date....bold, controvertial, romantic (not mushy), subtle and beautiful...LOOVE anil kapoor and sridevi in this muvie along with anupam kher and waheeda rahaman. 👏

Dulhan hum le jaayenge: OK...i dunt care how much people critisise david dhawan comedies...but this one is his best...nothing crass or vulgar, just clean wholesome fun. although it had a beaten to death plot, it was a nicely packaged film and sallu and karishma were cute...but i absolutely LOOVED anupam kher in this one..

Main khiladi tu Anari: OMG!!! Saifoo and akshay rocked in this one....it was soo hilarious...guilty pleasure..especially the song "my adorable darling" 😆😆...but yaar...saif and akshay were soo funny in this one...saif especially as he bugs the hell out of akshay everytime...total 90's/90's bollywood cheese...LOVED IT...

Viraasat: I never thought I would like a priyadarshan muvie based in a village with thakurs and people in dhotis fighting each other...but man this was a good muvie...amrish puri was amazing and so were anil and tabu....anu malik for the first time I guess gave an awsome music score..."Taare hain baarati" and "payale runjhun" were soo lovely....😳

well tht was my list (tht i could think of off the top of my head) did u like any of the ones listed above? and...do u have any such favs which are probably lesser known?..do reply😊
😊

The one movie I can think of right now is English Babu Desi Mem, Personally I loved the movie and even made my dad buy me the VHS so I could watch it again again, but then again SRK had that effect on me when I was younger, I cried buckets of tears when Anjaam failed miserably at the box office.
